  • Do you want to know how much you need to save to buy your outstanding cars and upgrade them to 100% complete RR3?

    Thanks to the suggestion from Sirebel a further evolution of the post Automatic Calculation for Your Outstanding Cars, a revised template has been created, to calculate the purchase costs of cars and their upgrade costs. Obviously this is more complex than just the purchase price of cars, so is recommended a second stage.

    Method

    Copy the Cars with Upgrade Template

    Edit the RR3 Wiki:Car Costs page, select source mode and copy the source information for all the cars, do not make your edits in the cars page!

    {{H/carug}}
    {{R/carug|Ariel|Atom 3.5|54.2-9.8|S|RR|1|255,000|UGRD=226800|SC=Yes}}
    {{R/carug|Ariel|Atom V8|70.2-2.8-6.3|S|RR|1|G=Yes|150|PR=70.0|UGRD=224200+83200|UGGC=15|SC=Yes}}
    {{R/carug|Aston Martin|DB9|(38-9.8)|P|FR|2|230,000|UGRD=324900|SC=Yes}}
    ...
    {{R/carug|SRT|Viper GTS|49.5-7.1|S|FR|2|176,000|UGRD=191900|SC=Yes}}
    {{R/carug|TOYOTA|Camry ''(Joe Gibbs Racing - 2015)''|(58-7.8-6.2)|S|FR|1|G=Yes|750|PR=58.0|UGRD=1411100+1431700|UGGC=722}}
    {{R/carug|TOYOTA|TS040 Hybrid (2014)|92.7-3.3|R|M4|1|G=Yes|1,000|UGRD=2752800|SC=Yes}}
    {{T/carug}}

    Paste to your profile

    Now edit your profile. Change to source mode and paste in the source information.

    The template source needs to start {{H/carug}}, edit the cars, deleting all purchased and/or non-upgraded cars in your garage, the template needs to end {{T/carug}}

    Alternatively, if you have already followed Automatic Calculation for Your Outstanding Cars, in your profile, that existing template can be modified by adding ug to the template name, e.g. changing H/car to H/carug, R/car to R/carug and T/car to T/carug.

    Check Showcase Car Information

    Any cars with locked showcase events should have parser |SC=Yes, this will calculate and display a -20% off cost under the car cost. For cars that no longer have locked showcase events, the |SC=Yes parser should be removed.

    Update your PR data

    Change the initial PR of the cars to the current PR of your car. This is the third parser, directly following the car model.

    For cars that don't need to be upgraded w/ Icon Gold, the PR displayed is the Max PR w/ R$, minus the difference to initial PR.

    e.g.: M3 Coupe Max PR w/ R$ is 30.1 and initial PR is 21.4 (hence -8.7)

    {{R/carug|BMW|M3 Coupe|30.1-8.7|P|FR|2|84,600|UGRD=133400|SC=Yes}}

    In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/ Icon Gold, the PR will be the PR w/ the recommended strategy, minus the difference to Max PR w/ R$, minus the difference to initial PR.

    e.g.: Atom V8 PR w/ strategy is 70.2, max PR w/ R$ is 67.4 (hence -2.8) and initial PR is 61.1 (hence -6.3)

    {{R/carug|Ariel|Atom V8|70.2-2.8-6.3|S|RR|....|SC=Yes}}

    In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/ Icon Gold with complementary and intermediate strategies, the PR will be the PR at the complementary strategy, minus the difference to the PR at the intermediate strategy, minus the difference to Max PR w/ R$, minus the difference to initial PR.

    e.g.: P1 PR w/ complementary strategy is 85.0, PR w/ intermediate strategy is 84.3 (hence -0.7), max PR w/ R$ is 78.2 (hence -6.1) and initial PR is 67.8 (hence -10.4)

    {{R/carug|McLaren|P1|(85-0.7-6.1-10.4)|....|SC=Yes}}

    Users can remove differences in PR, based on the current status of their car.

    For further explanations on strategy, see Upgrades Strategy For 100% Completion.

    Update the Required PR

    The base data includes the parser |PR= for the cars that require Icon Gold upgrades, for cars that require R$ upgrades |PR= will need to be manually added (optional step).

    Remove cost of Purchased Cars

    Change the cost to 0 for any cars in your garage that still need to be upgraded.

    Calculate your Upgrade Costs

    Calculate the R$ and Icon Gold upgrade costs. Add the parser |UGRD= for the R$ upgrade costs, the parser |UGGC= for the Icon Gold upgrade costs has already been added, thanks to RomGuyony's data. Any cars that have been upgraded with some Icon Gold upgrades, but are still not at the required level, the |UGGC figure will need to be calculated for your car.

    For cars that don't need to be upgraded w/ Icon Gold, the R$ cost displayed is the 'cost to Max PR w/ R$'.

    e.g.: M3 Coupe cost from initial PR to Max PR w/ R$ is R$133,400

    {{R/carug|BMW|M3 Coupe|30.1-8.7|P|FR|2|84,600|UGRD=133400|SC=Yes}}

    In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/ Icon Gold, the R$ cost displayed is the cost to Max PR w/ R$, plus the cost to the recommended strategy. The Icon Gold cost displayed is the associated cost of the recommended strategy.

    e.g.: Atom V8 cost from initial PR to Max PR w/ R$ is R$224,200, cost from Max PR w/ R$ to chosen strategy is R$83,200 and 15 Icon Gold

    {{R/carug|Ariel|Atom V8|....|UGRD=224200+83200|UGGC=15|SC=Yes}}

    In the case of a car that is recommended to upgrade w/ Icon Gold with complementary and intermediate strategies, the cost displayed is the cost to Max PR w/ R$, plus the cost to the intermediate strategy, plus the cost to the complementary strategy. The Icon Gold cost is the associated cost for the intermediate strategy, plus the cost of the complementary strategy.

    e.g.: P1 cost from initial PR to Max PR w/ R$ is R$1,301,300, cost from Max PR w/ R$ to intermediate strategy is R$1,016,000 and 315 Icon Gold, and cost from intermediate to complementary strategies is R$0 and 60 Icon Gold

    {{R/carug|McLaren|P1|....|UGRD=1301300+1016000+0|UGGC=315+60|SC=Yes}}

    Users can remove differences in costs, based on the current status of their car.

    For further explanations on strategy, see Upgrades Strategy For 100% Completion.

    Publish

    Now publish your profile. Your outstanding car cost will automatically calculate along with the upgrade costs for new and existing cars. As you purchase and/or upgrade cars, edit your profile and update the data for that car, the costs will automatically re-calculate once more.

    Optional Colour Codes

    An optional parser was added for cars with italics in their description, this ALT= parser can be used to add colour too.

    The ALT= parser is free text, to use colour codes start with enter text here|... COLOUR is a colour code or name e.g.

    ...Ariel|Atom V8|ALT=<span style="color:lime;">Atom V8</span>...
    ...Chevrolet|SS (Hendrick Motorsports - 2016)|ALT=<span style="color:orange;">SS ''(Hendrick Motorsports - 2016)''</span>...
    ...SS (Stewart-Haas Racing - 2015)|ALT=<span style="color:red;">SS ''(Stewart-Haas Racing - 2015)''</span>|...

    Will Display:

    Even though the cars are different colours, they still link to the car's article page :)

    I personally use colour, to identify the priority of cars to upgrade next:

    • Yellow: upgrades on hold (waiting to purchase other cars)
    • Green: upgrades costing < 400 Icon Gold
    • Orange: upgrades costing 400-500 Icon Gold
    • Red: upgrades costing > 500 Icon Gold

    Any colour can be used, feel free to experiment, on your profile.

    • This is absolutely awesome. Just updated my profile with my current status towards end game. If I don't get another week at work like this one then I should be finished by valentines day which will make a nice present for the girlfriend if she no longer sees me playing this everyday.

        Loading editor
    • Is there any way we can help with R$ upgrades ? Of course it will take time and there are many things to add. People will need to use several parameters but it would be a nice project :)

        Loading editor
    • I believe RomGuyony has the data, we were speaking about it last week, I'll double check and get back to you. With TG-S03, neither of us has been editing much :)

    • I don't mind helping, I just need to know exactly what you're after. I was planning on adding set amounts for R$ regarding upgrades, in that table. When cars only need to be upgraded to max PR with R$, adding that R$ amount (even when they don't need it, just to make things easier), and when cars need to be upgraded with Gold, too, adding two amounts, one to get to max PR with R$, followed by the amount displayed in Upgrades Strategy For 100% Completion. Is that what you were after?

    • Thread edited to give an explanation on how PR=, UGRD= and UGGC= values are split, to make it easier to go from one step to the next, in terms of upgrades.

    • Hey, I'm editing a copy of the RR3 Wiki:Car Costs page, and I noticed that the Koenigsegg Agera R didn't have a 'required PR', but it had R$ upgrade costs, does this page include all of R$ upgrade costs (before needing GC) as default, or is this incorrect? Thanks

        Loading editor
    • ah, I think I understand what's going on now, the page includes the cost of the R$ upgrades upto the first GC upgrades as default, and doesn't reduce the costs for cars that don't need any upgrades etc.

        Loading editor
    • Correct

        Loading editor
    • As Icon Gold is the bottleneck currently, the focus is on how much Icon Gold is required to reach 100%, cars that only need R$ upgrades are not listed in as much detail.

      If you remove the Ariel Atom V8 the citation name <ref name = "ES">One of which is included in the [[Exclusive Series]] category</ref> will also be removed, either remove all the other citations that are using the "ES" name, i.e. <ref name = "ES" /> or add the text <ref name = "ES">One of which ...</ref> from the Atom V8 to one of the existing Exclusive Series cars, still to upgrade, in your garage. The ref name = "ES" ... only has to be named once, with the text used, the other citations will be linked to that name and text.

      Edit: Second thoughts as the Exclusive Series has been added to career now, the citations aren't required, I've removed them from RR3 Wiki:Car Costs

        Loading editor
    • Thanks for your advice, i've removed all the citation names but it doesn't effect the data that is published. The data is unequally to the source. Thereby i can only change the sourcecode in sourcemode, not when i am editing my profile, then my browser won't work anymore.

        Loading editor
    • I've edited your profile, with chrome browser and it was fine, editing in source mode is best. See RR3 Wiki:Real Racing 3 Tips and FAQ#I'm having problems editing a page or leaving a comment for some editing tips.

    • Thank you for your advice, but how can i explain the difference between source code en pubilshed code? The published code are  the default settings, but the source code is different. Even when i change the source code the published code does not change.For example i changed my PR settings in source mode, but they change not in the published code.

    • What browser are you using Burdieburdie123? The data you see in source mode is a template containing the information you are entering. When you publish any changes they should show in the published version with all of the formatting applied from the template. What does it show when you preview the page?

        Loading editor
    • I normally use firefox, but  i also used chrome but on both browsers give the same error in data. the data is not equal from source and published. When i preview it i see the published data, not the changed sourcedata, So is there the Atom 3.5 in the source the PR is 54.2 and the published is 42.4, the ATOM V8 PR= 70.1 in the source and the published data is 61.0.

      There is something wrong or i do something wrong.

        Loading editor
    • It seems fine to me. To edit in source more:

      Pull down the menu next to the "Edit Profile" button and select "Classic Editor". You will see a lot of green blogs. At the top of the page there are two tabs marked "Source" and "Visual", select the "Source" tab and you should get the source view of the table. Change the data here (be very careful not to delete any brackets or vertical line separators) and click on the desktop picture to preview the table before pressing publish.

      I recommend editing any page on the wiki in this way as it uses templating a lot and this is much easier.

    • thanks,that is the way i always change the code.

      For me it is to complecated. PR is on my ipad PS. How to calculate the PR (PS) is to complex for me. I see in the examples very complicated examples.

      For example Ariel Atom 3.5 my ps= 54.2 how can i get the data that i need to fill in the form? How can i calculate the R$ needed en the GC needed? And must i fill this in the form?

      In the car info i read initial = 44.4 max pr w/$ =54.2 max pr w/gc= 62.9

      So i think no w/$ needed my ps is already 54.2 but i need to 62.9 ps with 138 w/gc?

      so i think in the form has to perform 138gc needed? is that correct?

    • Ariel Atom 3.5 doesn't need any upgrades to help with 100% completion of the game. Ariel Atom V8 needs 234 Icon Gold to fully upgrade it for the Ariel Atom V8 (Exclusive Series). If your Ariel Atom V8 has been upgraded past pr w/R$, you need to calculate the remaining upgrades required, using the upgrades table on the car page. Yes it can get complicated and takes time to calculate.

        Loading editor
    • ok thank you for your help. Where can i find these information about the 100% completion of the game and the upgrade need 234 gc ? Or do i have to calculate this?

        Loading editor
    • The RR3 Wiki:Car Costs has been re-filled, with information from RR3 Wiki:Upgrades Strategy For 100% Completion, only the cars that are upgraded passed PR w/R$ need to be manually calculated.
