PR 95.1 is all you need, I would not do the last three engine upgrades.
Cloud save, then fully upgrade and run few laps - see if it makes much difference to your times. Then cloud restore if you want to go back and not spend the gold.. I have my 2014 Porshe fully upgraded, a mistake, as I didn't understand how precious RR3 gold is..
Why is my Porsche faster some days than others? One day, Mulsanne is at 231 mph and others 238. My lines are pretty well set by now. I race low/low no tc.

Did you hit anything? that could explain the loss otherwise no answer.
As for the Porsche upgrade I'd cloud save & try it. I race with the Audi now

I get this also
No idea why
any touch to the front (especially) causes a drop in top speed for me. If i stay virgin i see no drop in top speed over the 10 laps. one swipe from an aggressive bot and top end is lost.
Damage over the 10 lapper was also discussed here:
I've run an experiment for you, I run the Toyota TS040 upgraded with R$ upgrades only, with everything high and on. I noted the top speed down the first straight and the lap times, trying to run as consistent a lap as I could:
Lap, top MPH, lap time
1. 241 mph 3:17
2. 242 mph 3:11
3. 241 mph 3:11
4. 241 mph 3:11 - started to see 911 back markers
5. 241 mph 3:11
6. 242 mph 3:11
7. 241 mph 3:11 - started to see LMP1 back markers
8. 241 mph 3:11
9. 241 mph 3:12 - back marker slowed me in the last chicane
10. 242 mph 3:11 - lapped 2nd Propeller Factory the beginning of the lap.
Fastest lap 3:11.006 (I think this was the last lap!), total 32:01 , 4 CRB penalties, R$ -199, -8, -47, -97. I had to cut the corner a few times to avoid bots and I scraped the side of one.
1st 32:01 v 35:53 Propeller Factory.
I think this answers your question, if a very clean race is run and other bots aren't tangled with, the car isn't degraded in race. It is post race, I would post a picture, but I only had R$474,675, it's the fame I wanted today :)
If this was the case, the surely running a Time Trial with a car nearly in need of servicing would see it become much slower as the lap went on, no?
Also, it would only take a couple, maybe three laps of Le Mans with corner-cutting to fully degrade the condition of the car. Once the stats for a fully-downgraded car are reached, then there shouldn't be any further performance losses?
Some cars are also tougher than others. I find the 2014 919 forgiving for off-road. I can do aggresive corner cutting (last chicane cut and through sand on 1st corners after start finish) the whole race and never lose top end speed. My lap times also stay pretty consistent. Slight taps I can get away with, but no tap is very slight on LeMans it seems!
