Are you just trying to get to the end?

Are you trying to buy every car available?

Are you trying to get 100% on every series?

I'm now halfway through Spirit of Ferrari in the Legend series and I've started thinking about my end game. If I keep only doing enough to get to the next stage, then what have I accomplished? By the time I get to the end of the game, I will not have completed all of it nor will I own all the cars.

Many people start skipping cars in Legend as they cost so much GC. If I skip the 20% discount now, I will just have to pay more later when I realize that I didn't accomplish much by getting to the end. I now regret skipping cars that were around 100 GC in earlier series.

For me, I will focus on the series that must be completed to continue, not the sub-series that have cars I don't need for now. I will buy the cheaper GC cars and wait for the others to go on sale. 30% off 300 GC and less cars isn't that big of a deal compared to 20% off. On those 600 GC and above cars, it's a bigger deal.

What's your end game and how will you accomplish it?

    • My goals in RR3 are:

      1) To be able to continue to play the game without paying any real money.

      2) To continue to become a stronger player, while putting less time into the game, as the weeks go by.

      3) To complete enough events to have a sense of reward, but not so much as to become bored of the game.

    • My goal is to own every available car and win every available race and series. I spend real money from time to time, but I try to limit that. I worry about never being able own the TS040 (1000 G), or the Porsche 911 RSR (2013) (600 G), which is required for the Elite - Porsche series

The TS040 is totally worth it! You'd pay 800 for it with the 20% standard discount or wait until it's on sale (usually 700). You don't have to do GC upgrades on it in order to win the 10 lap Le Mans race; the race that gives the most Fame and $R. I bought it when it was last on sale and it has since paid for itself via the 10 lap race.

    • I like the question of goals in the game! I find myself asking that very question every few months, and see how my goals have changed over time. I remember my original goal to find a good free racing game that would allow me to experience the cars and Circuits that I got excited about while watching Top Gear (UK).

As I've played and the game has Changed, and with the introduction of special events such as Le Mans 2014, I found my goals shift toward excellence in my races. Turning off the aids, not colliding and going off track, using the in-car first person view instead of the third person camera that I had grown to rely on.

Since finding this site I've begun to see a new shift. To see others succeed and grow in enthusiasm for this game I have come to love over the past couple years. I am beginning to feel like I'm not just in it to finish or get all the cars or to not spend any real money (although I still have those goals), but rather to be apart of a community that is encouraging and more outward focused, instead of just focused on my own success.

Thanks for the question! This is a good thing to b a part of!

    • the main goals for all rr3 racers is to unlock all race series as fast as can be. also to learn how to farm money and gold using the bmw almas or the f40/f50 of ferrari or the audi r18 2014 or if you are very lucky the nissan 10 lappers in endurance champ. also to use your agents very wisely and also to take advantage of daily race bonus, meaning you race everyday you get twice the r dollars.

it is nice to have a community like this where you can talk, share insights and learn from other people's insights. it's also nice to be part of a community that has some pull in the real world. I am referring to the recent June changes that made people so upset and they were quite quickly changed back.

when I first got the McLaren MP4-12C and fully upgraded it, I thought it was the best car and didn't think things could get much better. then I got the BMW M3 GT2 ALMS, fully upgraded it and couldn't believe how fast it was and how much grip it had. I again thought the cars couldn't get much better than this, and realized how bad the grip was in the McLaren. Then the Porsche 919 hybrid completely blew my socks off without being fully upgraded and after that, the Ferrari F14 T. As I got better at driving the cars, my appreciation for the cars grew. Some prior favorites became barely tolerable, well others became such a joy to drive.

When I first started, I absolutely hated the Melbourne track. I couldn't find any place to pass, I kept crashing into the walls and I dreaded it. Now it is one of my favorites. I get a rush cutting those corners as tight as possible, driving mere inches from the walls.

lately I'm blown away by the scenery on some tracks. I was driving the 10 lap LeMans the other day and was just watching the trees. It's amazing how random the trees are and how much attention to detail there is. I remember what gaming was like 20 years ago when you saw scenes repeat themselves every few seconds or so. Then there's Circut de Spa-Francochamps. There is some amazing scenery that just keeps going and going. It's a great track with some of the best scenery in the game.

I'm also really impressed at the attention to sound in this game. I just got the Bugatti Veyron and I was quite surprised with how it sounded. Especially when compared to the Koenigsegg Agera which also has a very unique sound.

My goals haven't changed much, but my strategy has. I follow the advice of others in this community and I race in such a way as to keep the bots slow. I don't fully upgrade cars anymore, probably won't unless I absolutely have to or after I have all cars in my garage. There are many cars that I would love to fully upgrade, but I don't want to spend my gold on that right now.

I am fairly sure I will never own any of these super cars. Hopefully someday I get a chance to drive one of them. Other than that, this is the closest I will ever get to one and I enjoy it quite a lot. Probably my favorite game of all time.

    • I've been played RR3 for 25 months, level 306, cars own 111 of 116, only paid for GC once, about US$18 to get 1,019 GC, and that special offer only happend once...

I never expected to fully accomplish the game, as the finish line is never a fixed one, each upgrade there's sth new to push it higher...

Now I thank RR3 to help me realise it, the fun should be the pursuit itself, not the victory, I just won the 3 LMP1 cars days ago, but feel not as excited as won the previous challenge.

Sometime I prefer to play with the BMW 1M, Focus RS, 911 Targa..on the nice view track like Spa or Mount Panarama, to recall the days when I was a new starter, and convince myself that RR3 is still a good game...

I race for fun and along the way I will eventually get all the cars and win all the races. No need to spend money if your not in a hurry. Hopefully rr3 will keep adding events to make this difficult.

    • I've been playing RR3 for about 18 months. However I had to restart six months ago, when I originally started playing I had millions of R$ and gold, it was a glitch in the game, so completed RR3 and could buy and upgrade everything! After a short ban, I had to clear my profile and started from scratch, I'm enjoyed the new challenge :)

I now play with three tablets! Mine, my wife's and my boy's, so the challenges are three times the challenge!

When I restarted, my target was to reach the key fame event in each series, for farming:

Now I've reach Endurance Kings on each of my tablets, I currently run the 10 lapper as my daily event on all three tablets! Except then I'm doing challenges :)

My top tablet has 113 cars, with the last three cars: Audi (2015), 911 (2015) and Lamborghini Miura remaining, the Audi should be won by Sunday, I will be close to being able to buy the other two in their showcase events :)

The other two will then need my attention to get to the end of the legend series. Then I'll then try and win all the remaining GC cars on them.

The game never ends, Retro Rivals will be available to start Saturday 4th July, the next release maybe a few weeks later.

I do enjoy this game, this site and community :)

That sounds almost identical to the (unofficial) arrangement that my wife and I have LOL! The only difference is that my wife still sits there huffing and puffing, but she's usually on her phone looking at her various social media apps, which I hate as much as she hates RR3. But I don't make comments to her so she can't really comment to me...too much.

The Audi R18 2014 is a nice car. The upgrades are VERY expensive. I just bought all stage 2 upgrades that are $R and my bank was almost gone. $1,343,100 in upgrades.
I am looking forward to driving it with the extra power and grip though!

My situation now. I bought the car. But my cash is 1,584 R$. With that money I can't do anything. So I'm going to start farming up money with the 7-lapper of Endurance Champions.

      P.S: I've got 1,015 gold coins.

Good luck then :-) It's gonna be a bit long.

That's why I waited to have the 3.200.000 R$ + the extra 2.500.000 R$ for the upgrades already in my account before buying the Audi. I hope you will get them soon.

    • My goal when I started was to get as far as I could without paying money but still feel like I was making progress. I've probably become a bit addicted along the way...

This led me to restart in March after realising that I shouldn't have been trying to max out the upgrades on every car (I think I was at 100% on the first 3 career series, but could see I would have no gold to proceed any further).

In part I decided to restart because the "exclusive reveal" was on and there were a few nice farming races (at least for someone who had only reached "Pro" and hadn't learnt to mess with the bots) so I figured I would run and rerun and rerun those to farm and get a headstart on the earlier events.

So then my new goal was to see how far I could get with just upgrading by R$ (unless absolutely necessary) - while trying to get every car along the way as it came up. I think I've used gold on about 5 cars so far (Lexus LFA to proceed, F14T to win it, Cayman to win it, Z4 Coupe - because you got more for 100% than it cost to upgrade it, Shelby GT500 - because you got more for 100% than it cost).

For a while I also had a goal of trying to make sure I got at least top 20% on all the time trials in career (with only the R$ car using tilt A and traction control) - but with all the events and farming I feel like my skills have atrophied a bit (and I use tilt B and no TC a bit more), so I care less now (although I do still try to post a decent time rather than just running it with an unserviced car).

I've been pretty lucky so far I got the 3 year anniversary car free just at the point I was going to buy it and all the events have re-opened just in time for me to complete them (and although I never used the gold farming technique that got fixed in the last release my gold tally is nicely over 3800).

I'm now about 400 gold off being able to buy all the cars - assuming I win the Countach and the Miura gets the showcase discount - which is apparently questionable? Current tally is 107/116. If they hadn't added the 2015 RSR I'd be there by now.

By the time I reach having enough R$ to upgrade all the cars to max R$ upgrade I should definitely have enough gold to start looking at trying to work through getting 100% on all series. I'm definitely still hoping for a few more discounts  on the big ticket cars though.

The 2015 RSR is the main pain point at the moment as I can't currently proceed to the F1 events because I still have the showcase event locked (I'm still hoping they might discount - but I'm not going to go past the showcase while I feel like I've got other things going).

And my fiancee also wants to throw my tablet out the window... :-P

    • I started from scratch in early January this year and decided my goals in game would be to own McLaren F1, Ferrari F50 and Pagani Zonda, because they are in top 5 of my favourite cars IRL.

Along the way, I became addicted to playing the game, and bought all three of them quite quickly, because I'd play for about 2 hours everyday... . But I eventually overcame addiction in April, thank God!

From then on, I only log in once every two weeks to collect 25 GC and play one LM 4 lapper with F40 in Classic Ferrari Showdown. I have no new goals, therefore, don't have the 'drive' to play it. It's better that way because I have far more important things to do as a young buck than playing the game...

True, I still play it, but very rarely, as Legend tier tempts me with its hypercar and racing car lineup.

My goal was to own every available car and win every abailable race and series in the main game (I did not realize that 2nd and 3rd place finishes in special events would be stored in the list of cups earned or I may have had the goal to only have Gold cups).  I achieved this goal a couple of days ago.  I have never spent actual money on the game, though I might have been willing to within reason if they did not seem to be trying so hard to get us to do that.  I did not engage in blatant hacking of the game, but did make limited use of the level-up multiplier glitch for the one series that was left from the time I learned about it before they shut it down.  I think if I started today, this goal would be too hard because there are so many cars I got for free in challenges that might need to be purchased today.  Now we will see if my addition has abated enough to give me more free time than I have had while workding towards finishing.  We will also see how far back the upcoming update sets me and if it just convinces me to move on.

My goals have altered a bit since I started this thread, but I have settled down now. I was skipping the purchase of some cars so I could get to the next series and closer to the FAST cars. Now I regret that strategy as there are some cars I will have to purchase with gold at full price or wait until they are on sale . I also used to max out the PR of almost every car, I also regret that. I also used to be VERY careless with how often I hired the crew and paid gold to service a car quick. No more of that I wish I could get that gold back!

-I will do all main events 1st, unless I own ALL of the cars in a sub-series.

-After all main events are done, I will start tackling the sub-series until I own every car.

-Then I will go back and upgrade the PR enough that I can complete every series 100%.

-I will buy cars when I get to them regardless of price, no more skipping. If I can't afford a car, I will not proceed. I will farm enough gold before unlocking the car.

-I plan to complete the game without ever spending actual money.

Along the way, RR3 will introduce more cars and series that will detour my goals, but that's all part of the fun. I came out of Pursuit of Victory with a lot more gold AND 3 great cars. I would love to get the PR on one of them high enough for the 10 lap LeMans but I can't see spend that much gold at this time. I have unlocked the 10 lap LeMans in Endurance Kings and have all 3 LMP1 cars upgraded enough that I can win every time. So I can do some great farming there. I just really want to race the newer LMP1 cars on 10 lap LeMans as the 7 lap version does not pay so well when you average it out. Also, it appears that the $R and fame payouts are a tiny bit higher on the 10 lap with the 2015 cars.

    • One thing to consider is that some cars are offered at the 20% discount more than once as they have showcase events in more than series.  I had adopted the approach of not triggering the one-time only offers unless I could afford to by a car as well, except where I could trigger the sale in a later series.  This gave me more time to hope that the (basically) weekly sale would come along and make an even better offer on a car while allowing me to progress further in the game.  I cannot recall how frequently this was relevant, but it worked out for me.

    • Completing the game and have 1000 GC left

I'm playing for almost 13 months, level 376, 1680 GC, about useless 217000000 R$, one car to be bought (Porsche RSR 2015) one car to be upgraded ( Ferrari Enzo ) and 10 races to be won.

This just to give a figure of how it is possible to complete the game for free which is possible only if you are passionate enough to race thousands 10 laps Le Mans or in another hand to be 200% RR3 addict.

And on top of that my goal is simply having fun.

My original goal was to get 100% everything but I have had to revise that.

Now I have split my goals into 3 stages.

1st Goal. Get all cars (I have 111 of 116). For this I need 2450 GC more to buy at full price.

Cars left - Ferrari 599 GTO, Laferrari, Pagani Zonda R, Porsche RSR 2015, Spada

2nd Goal. Get 100% in all series (only Expert and Legend series left)

3rd Goal. Fully upgrade all cars (very rough estimation at least 10000 GC more). I dont know if Ill ever get this one done.

I want to do all of this without spending any real money!!

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. Although I was just thinking today that I probably will never fully upgrade every car. There's some cars I just don't like to drive. There's other cars that I can hardly wait to fully upgrade because they're so awesome with only R$ upgrades right now. My first 3 to fully upgrade will be the Toyota TS040, the Koenigsegg Agera R and the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 GSV... then there's the McLaren P1... And what about the 2015 Audi R18?? I'don't love to run that one around the 10 lap LeMans a few dozen times.

I'm still a few months away from getting all the cars so I have lots of time to figure it out.

      Happy racing!!

    • What a great question, I've already met my goal of completing both of the F1 car series. At this point I've never paid for any GC and I'm at level 189 and have 103 of the 116 cars along with 2032 GC and 42,000,000 in R$ which is pretty much useless. I really don't know if I want to invest the time and GC to complete this game. I think at this point I will just race the future special event challenges.

    • My goal, in fact I have two conficting goals :

      1: complete the game

2: avoid divorce from my husband

I wanted to get some real money from my husband, explaining him that if I buy some gold coins, I may spend less time on my tablet.

I do not know why he's thinking I'm spending to much time on RR3, I play only 2 hours per day:

30mn in bed (silent mode) when I wake up as he's still snoring.

30mn at noon while the food is cooking

1H to 1:30H in the evening while he's watching some naked interaction on his computer.

Some time more during some week-end when he is out for fishing (real fishing I'm not sure because he never comes back with any catch at home, so it's probably other kind of fish he's trying to hook, by the way, probably without any success as he returns to his computer as soon he's back )

So, back to the game, since I've discovered RR3 I find daily life more enjoayble. When the game will be completed (I guess I'll need 6 more months), if I cannot avoid the divorce, I intend to start fishing as well.

I used to play on my son's iPad mini. I play RR3 everyday. My son is about to spend a week on holliday at his grandma's (of course, bringing his tablet with him). Well, I get so addicted to the game that I could not resign to spend the whole week without beeing able to play. So I decided to buy an iPhone 6 and release my fears :-p

How sad is that ?!! :-p Well done Firemonkeys, well done! :/

Well I hope you enjoy your new iphone6. Maybe having a newer, higher speed device will make racing better, or at least more enjoyable.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 needs some warranty work for the camera. I am putting off calling Samsung as I don't want them to ask for my phone for 4 weeks or something crazy! My wife has an iphone 5, but the screen is just tiny compared to what I am used to!!

Yup, that's when you know you are addicted!!

    • you all are addicts. I just started my 2nd rehabilation by uninstalling the game. My only goal was to never throw a biscuit(money) to firemonkeys, At first it used to be enjoy the racing game and finish it and pick up another game, After I realized rr3 can't be finshed by normal means I had to change my goal.

      happy racing !!

Well, then wait for the end of the 2 special events (Lions + SpeedRush TV 2), and then call Samsung. You could use your wife's iPhone then just to collect the daily bonus, and the free GC from the ads :-)

    • Not too sure what the goals were when i started the game other than to have a racing game on my phone. At this time I'm at the end of Master series after 188hrs, 29% at Lv77, 300G & 55 cars (21 fully upgraded)

I think the goal now is to farm & return to purchase some cars at showcases before starting Elite. the goal really is to get the F14T, alot of cars along the way would be nice to have aswel they are (lots of) gold too. farming seems to be the logical goal for now to mass funds ready to move up instead of moving up and not having enough, but now i have a few races to farm which are enjoyable tracks & great cars to drive on them. I've only missed buying 24 cars (maybe 6 or so GC) : not counting nascar.

Goal is 100% but that's just me being a perfectionist but if you don't aim for the top . . .

The F14T is something else. I just got the PR up to 123.1 so that I can get to 100% complete. Some people say that the LMP1 cars are the peak of this game, but I disagree. Sure, they have higher top speed but the Indy cars accelerate so much faster and the grip and breaking are just incredible. You spend a lot more time at 300 kph+ speeds. They are tricky in the corners though, as you get slower you get less downforce and they can just slide off the track and keep on sliding and sliding and sliding. The F14T is well worth the wait to get it.

So this time waster is the best time waster and I am at level 135 with approx 100 cars and no goals and no regrets, just fun i have no goal to win all cars or complete 100%. but when i get a chance i complete. Only desire is to ride 911-2015,2014 ferrari f1, la ferrari. I have 2000+ gold and am waiting for discounts. When no events are there I dont go to team events or online multiplayer, they r too competitive and hacked, just havi]ng fun like going in other direction of all tracks. but game has been crashing and whole device (nexus 7-2012) has become laggy and no regrets I will uninstall if they dont give f1 in next update or two and do something to reduce ram usage. They themselves said that, when i opened a ticket, that i should check my device. No thoughts of buying another one for now. Remember approx this time last year ferrari update came when I just enterd the game for first time.

      GOAL CHANGES

      Well since I started this thread my goals have changed a bit. Here's my new list and then why to follow;

      1. Own every car

      2. Get 100% completion in every event

      3. Join a good team and get a top 10 finish

      4. *Upgrade every car

      5. *Get Group A finish in every Time Trial (collect 100 gold every week for that)

      6. *Place in the top 10 of an Online Multiplayer event.

My old list included what many have said... spend no real money. Well I think that ship sailed many months ago. I only have 1 more car to buy and 191 events to race, yet I will have to spend 5,353 gold to acomplish that. I'll get something like 200 gold back in winnings. Still, I would have to race LeMans once a day for 18 months to get that much gold. Well in 18 months MANY new cars will have shown up requiring MANY more gold upgrades The Ferrari Enzo series alone requires 1015 in gold upgrades for 100% completion. Every time I can buy 1019 gold for $20, I will.

      TEAMS

At first I didn't like teams. I think that's because I was on a bad one. Sure, you put in way too much time for what you win; but it's about the competition. This becomes more important as you near the end of the game and you spend SOOOOOO much time farming. Beating someone along the way adds to the fun. Being on a team got me to start on my GOAL #5. I am now going through all the time trials from the begging and getting Group A times. Each time I beat almost every team mate.

GOALS 4, 5 are connected. You can't get Group A times without a fully upgraded car. BUT... you can do it with assists on. I currently drive with steering HIGH, brakes LOW and traction ON. I will never plaze in the top 10 in an Online Multiplayer event without learning hwo to drive with no assist.

GOAL 6 is like NINJA hard. You must master the art of no assist driving... that's where the real speed is. Almost everyone that is accussed of cheating is just really good at no assist driving. I have raced their ghosts (time trials) and can see how they do it, I'm just not good enough yet. But I am WAYYYYY better than I was 9 months ago!! I looked at one of my first time trials and I was in 1,999,369 place!! After I redid the race I was in 9,292 place, which was enough for Group A. To get to the top 10 you need; a fully upgraded car, no assists, perfect lines and no slipping at all. That takes a lot of dedication. So...

An asterix * appears next to the goals that I may never achieve. Real Racing keep adding more cars that are more expensive and have more expensive upgrade trees. I may just get sick of it. I may not want to dedicate the time needed to master no assist driving... I have a busy non-virtual life!

COULD YOU IMAGINE STARTING THE GAME TODAY??

If you missed the NASCAR update, you will have to fork out 3000 gold to buy each car (no 20% off any of them). You will then need to spend another 2953 gold minimum to reach 100% completion. That won't be enough for Group A time trial times though.

If you missed Pursuit of Victory you will need to spend 2470 gold to buy all the cars, then at least 490 gold for upgrades to the Audi R-18 to get 100% completion (FAR from group A time trial for each car).

That's 8913 gold for just those 2 missed series. I would have to do 922 LeMans races at my current driver level for that much gold. At one race a day, that's 2 1/2 years for just 7 cars. No way!!! People may be right, the Fire Monkeys may have crossed the line now. It's just going to be to daunting for new people I think.

    • I just completed my first goal, I now own all 124 cars. I am now working on the Legend events, which I already have a good start on. I am 100% on ten of Legend Series & 90% on the remaining seven. After completing Legends I will complete Nascar if there is nothing else to do!

    • Running out of goals. At 94% progress, 114 out of 124 cars owned, level 194. Completed every category except Elite (98%), Legend (90) and Nascar (65). Problem is that after you reach 70-75% there is no reward for making progress, only a negative GC balance.

Since june I did some cleaning up, finishing series with F12Berlinetta, Dezir, Maserati, F375, i20, Boxster, Weissach and recently the F14. Total cost was about 2000 GC. Now i only have 31gc in the pocket and upgrading the next one (Ferrari T2) to completion level costs about 160. Return is only 32. Why should I do that? To see that yellow 100% sign only?

Buying new cars requires at least 600gc each (except for the GTO, but who cares about that one?) and finshing Elite costs 1600 in total, returning only 100 gc.

Every goal from now only costs tons of gold and returns almost nothing. I have never spend real money and I never will. Bought RR1 and RR2 and was very happy with both. Willing to pay as much as 30€ for a complete RR3, but i know that will never happen. EA has put too much effort in building all those updates. RR3 is by far the most complete game in the Appstore.

I'm fed up with doing endless LM 10-lappers, I hate all online bullshit (because of hackers with unlimited GC) and the only thing that keeps me playing is the challenges that come with every update.

Anyone out there who feels the same? Suggestions?

    • Remember it's only a game, I am a bit farther along than you & used to feel the same way. I also refuse to spend money on the game. Here's what I do so I don't get burned out. I only farm gold (ie 10 lapprs) when there are no challenges to run. This way keeps me more interested  & the 10 lappers are a little more fun even though I could win them in my sleep.

    • @Cas...

Yes - in a remarkably similar position to you in terms of level and cars, and being a bit "over it". Feel like I've been spinning my wheels a bit, churning, churning, churning, probably since the PoV release.

The "reward gap" (ie the gap between what you can win and what is needed to reach 100%) just seems to keep on increasing, and NASCAR took it to a whole new level.

I only did the sums for 3.5 (Lions) and 3.6 (NASCAR), but at least 3.5 allowed you to get slightly ahead (assuming you ran Le Mans every day with agent and you completed all the new content). Not far ahead, but a little bit.

This time round they've created a massive deficit - somewhere in excess of 1500 gold - or over £120 if we look at the cost to pay to make up the shortfall.

I've nothing against a deficit in principle - programmers have to get paid (although, for this game, with its current structure, I'm not going to be the one doing it, not directly anyway) - but for any release (a period of only 6 or 7 weeks) the deficit really shouldn't be more than about 200 gold (which is about £15). And it would be better if there was a surplus for "the obsessed" so that more casual gamers aren't left completely stranded. The thing is, once you get to a certain point, even the most expensive packs don't even put a dent in your gold requirements - you start to wonder why they even offer the cheaper ones.

As it stands, I know that if I walk away from the game then it would be extremely difficult to ever pick it back up again because I would have fallen so far behind (losing those free cars would be an absolute killer). That feels a bit of a silly move from FM/EA - making people pay because they haven't played. Then again, maybe their research shows that "whales" are also intermittent players, and will pay up to catch up.

But at the moment it feels more like the know they've got lots of long time players, and the only way they know how to "keep them playing" is force them to farm for longer and longer times. Multiplayer should have been an anti-dote, but it's a bit of a mess. Teams could have been another (for some long term players) - but it's just getting people to farm in a slightly different way.

They need to find something better than intertia to appeal to long term players.

In the meantime, I'll bow to inertia and see what the next couple of releases bring - I wouldn't expect the next release to be too big, because the pre Christmas one is usually the "major" release - but hopefully there'll be enough in it, and it won't push the goalposts too far again.

EDIT: "inertia" not "entropy" duh :-/

    • @Sean: Great analysis, as usual. Good read too, I will have to go over it some more times to really understand it well. Thanks! In the meantime I found a way to boost Gold, re-installing again and again. I did that already for a while, but yesterday it gave me 20 gc in total with 5 re-installs. Normally i never get more than 3-4 ads in a day, no matter how many attempts. If this continues on a once a week basis i will be able to see my horizons again in a while. But nonetheless it is not what i prefer to do in this game.

I am at 90% 100 out of 125 and level 135, I agree with seanr and also u. no more fun in 10 lapper and ignoring all but above 150% bonus. slowly completing remaining series but this isnt major release of mclaren, but it is big in the car itself is. it is big for mclaren and f1 fans but i think next update could be ferrari if symmetry continues and this time last year approx ferrari f1 cars came by. Sad and frightening thing is if we miss these special events we cant afford to buy these cars, so we should keep playing. But my firm belief is for now they need numbers in customer base, but if f1 jumps in the game can change and they may not make this a pay app but still it will change.

    • I started with wanting 100% on cars, upgrades, and series. It still is. I am just waiting for the last car the vette to be 100% again. I have recently switched to samsung galaxy note pro 12.2 display. I can't believe the detail. Its amazing its brought more fun to the game. I see things I have missed b4. In the 10 lap silverstone race with am gte there is car stuck between 2 walls an every time I go around he is still banging back and forth trying get out. In the 10 lap silverstone with the ferrari f1 cars at the start about 5 rows back in the grid one car is on its nose in the air. On the same track but diffrent series. There a bugatti in the same place on its nose in the air. In this update a nissan gt-r gt1 in a cup in melbourne that acts like a kangaroo and hops up and down going round the track. To much fun.

thought about this question a bit.. Perhaps for me it's most important to just be able to actively 'play' and progress. That is, striving to own all cars, complete all series to 100%.

Once them two goals are attained, it will be probably time to move on, come back to special events & new cars.. But recently I have been enjoying WTT events, would like to make team A often, as that stops me having to farm (I now only farm when there is fame daily bonus). Future might bring Team play, Tournaments maybe.. So still horizons to explore.

I have been playing for about 5 to 6 months, daily for most parts. I expect at least 7000r is needed for the cars i dont have, and once i reach 3000r balance i will start to buy the cheapest gold cars:) And gold upgrade few cars to start completing to 100%.

    • My goal is to achieve 100% completion.

I've unlocked almost everything and doing le mans farming.

Anyway to reach that goal i've chosen some alternative ways. For example, to unlock road to le mans event in legend series, i've heard that's suggested to upgrade the veyron with gold BUT for me this was worthless as the gold used to upgrade the veyron would have been waisted. I've decided to buy the zonda R instead: more gold in the short term, but another car needed to reach the 100% so a gold advantage in long term. To explain my goal you have also to know that i've completed most of the event in this year, so i have the endurance kings already unlocked and that i could farm

At the moment i'm waiting for the aston martin gte or the 911 rsr 2015 to go on sale so that i could unlock mclaren generation, the last serie that i miss. Excluding the very last with ferrari, that i already own the car.

    • My main goal is to get 100% completion of the game.

        Loading editor
      1. Enjoy the game without spending real money.
      2. Complete the Challenges as soon as they appear so I do not have to fork over large amounts of GC later!
      3. Complete the Career, i.e. unlock all of the Carrer and Bonus Series.
      4. Clean up, i.e. get 100% in, the Career Series and Bonus Series that interest me.
      5. Shoot for 100% in cars and completion.
      6. Upgrade all car to 100%.

It soon became obvious that the main barrier to easy progress would be GC, so at some point I realized upgrading cars with GC should not be done unless it is needed for a PR requirement. Also, by the time I got to the end of the Master Series - I can be a slow learner - I realized I needed a careful plan so I could spend as little as possible, i.e. make the best use of showcase discounts, and know when I could skip cars and series and come back to them later. Thus I drafted that plan and I am now working through it to see how it goes.

(Oh, and I'd like to avoid having to "farm" R$ unless absolutely necessary or to benefit from bonuses - we'll have to see if that is going to work, it has not been too bad up to the start of the Legend Series.)

Once you unlock a 10 lap LeMans race, you will never need to farm for R$. It's gold that turns you into a farmer!

In a way I guess I'm unintentionally farming R$. I earn it as I am farming gold. I have 26,978,922 R$ (which is small compared to others). The sad thing is that I have nothing to spend it on! I have many R$ upgrades to do, but I have to buy gold upgrades 1st. I'm still only upgrading what is required for 100% completion.

    • I suspected that would be the case.

As for farming gold what is rate of return can one expect from the 10 lappers? I've been doing a little of that with the 4 lapper and it seems to take about 8 runs to go up one level. Can I expect a linear extrapolation in that I'll be getting twice the fame so half the number of runs or it there something I don't know about yet?

There's a few different articles and threads: http://rr3.wikia.com/wiki/Fame_Chart http://rr3.wikia.com/wiki/Strategy and others

      The upshot of the research from the community basically is: approx. 6100 fame points = 1 gold payout from fame;

So it takes longer to get the payout as you level up, but you get more gold when you do. Your "gold payout" for any given race is essentially constant.

This means the payout for 1 race of the EK 10 lapper is about 8-9 gold (with using the agent, but depending on whether you had to pay for the agent).

Well, good for you but if get into the level 200 region you may see that R$ is no longer the issue at all and 2000 GC is nice but depending on your goals by far not enough to complete the game. I'm on level 277 by now, have 95.941.391 R$ and 3.231 GC on my "bank", have all avail cars 130/133 and be 35 races away from 100% again after the update. But to upgrade all the cars to 100% I still will need 28.500 GC. So look at the gold cost of all the casrs your missing to complete your goals and trust us that R$ issus will go away soon you start running the RK LM 10 laps. :-) I have done this one race over 700 times by now to get where I am.

Sorry, I went with the assumption of farming the 10 lap LeMans at least once a day. You can earn millions of R$ a month that way, especially if you hire manager for bonus R$ days and agent for bonus Fame days (but only manager when he's free). I am just over Driver level 203 now, over 26 million R$ and just shy of 2500 gold. I need a good 4000 more gold to buy and upgrade the remaining cars for 100% completion.

When I first started farming and got up to 15 million R$, I went on a spending spree and bought every remaining R$ car and every R$ upgrade possible all at once. It actually messed up the game until the timers ran out! You can see the photo HERE

    • I started playing RR3 very early after it was released (did play RR2 quite a lot as well...) so I do not have limited mechanics, like many others who joined in later.

Initially, I did not really have a specific goal, it was just about getting some cool cars. Which was also possible in the beginning of the game, when there was no "career" one had to go through before one could buy "nicer" cars. In my case that led to the BMW Z4 GT3 and the Lexus LFA being the fourth and fifth car I bought in the game. Which was nice, as they opened up some races where earning R$ was A LOT easier than with the Focus or the Nissan Silvia.

Then I found a blog about the game and started exchanging thoughts and strategies with other players (most importantly, I stopped wasting Gold on Upgrades I did not need). I still only have 9 fully upgraded cars (all but one of those date back to the first 6 months of playing RR3).

When the career was introduced, I already had access to all of today's main Series and thus did not have to go through it all in a predefined sequence.

On the other side, I got only 3 to 5 Gold for the first 200 or so Levelups and THAT made cars like the Agera R seem completely overpriced as I had no idea how I was supposed to save 800 Gold. Ever. But I still tried to do it and got lucky when it was put on a 50% rebate at some stage.

That was when I really started to think about what goals there were for me in the game. Goal Number One was to get to own ALL the cars in the game. I did manage that one fine day when 109 cars were in the game. Then they introduced the Porsche 911 RSR (2015) and I was pi...ed, because I had no option to buy it with even a 20% Showace rebate.

I almost threw in the towel then, but discovered Team Racing and found a good Team of nice guys to drive with and thus stuck with the game.

Next time I almost stopped altogether was when they started to make new Updates outrageously expensive. NASCAR was REALLY bad in that regard and the one after that was pretty bad as well. Good thing I had the Team Events to keep me going (from a motivational point of view AND from a "gold income" point of view).

I then also started looking for another - doable - goal in the game and found the "I want to get to 100%" target for myself. As I had not wasted Gold uselessly for quite some time and won pretty much all the free cars during Events, I noticed I needed only some 3.500 Gold to buy all required upgrades to get to 100%.

So I decided on a priority list of when to upgrade which car, which now (some time later) only contains 6 cars:

Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (the worst - it'll cost me 1015 Gold alone) - 9 races with this one

McLaren 650S GT3 - another 260 needed (already partially upgraded with gold) - another 2 races

      Ferrari 412 T - another 196 required - 2 more races

      Hyundai i20 WRC - 175 to go - yet another 2 races

      Renault DeZir - 101 missing - you'll guess it: 2 more races

Lamborghini Aventador - 97 Gold for the last 2 races

Obviously I am also missing the 3 cars that can be won during events in the current update (and 4 races each), but I suppose that will not be a problem. At least, it never has been in the past ;)

So, I am at 99% and counting, almost 75% of the Gold needed for the Enzo is "in the bank".

I should also add that I ONCE chipped in 15,99 € to buy 1019 Gold (targeted offer), as I just received it the very moment the Toyota was rebated (40%) for the first time ever. Didn't think long about that one :-D

I am currently at Level 345, need some 280.000+ Fame per Level and get 46 Gold in return. It'll be 48 once I reach Level 350, which also helps. I will hopefully have saved enough gold for the Enzo by the time the next update arrives (I am guessing mid January or early February), so I can decide whether splashing it out makes more sense or keeping it together for another "expensive" update (this one seems MUCH nicer so far... Hope that impression lasts!)

    • I'm at a loss, I own 131/133 cars and only need to do 8 events be at 100% completion. The problem is that I do not enjoy online multiplayer, weekly time trial, or race team events. Online multiplayer in my opinion is a joke, FM should look at Mario Kart online, it works much better, very smooth and seamless. I compete against my grandkids and it's just like they are in the same room with me. I find the WTT to be oh so boring, I can reach group B with no effort. My plan was to go for group A, but I just can't stand the boredom of just racing for a fast time on a empty track. And then there is Race Teams. The problem here is I am not a team oriented person. So race teams is not for me. So after finishing the current update I will be out of things to do, (basically already out of things to do) all I can do is wait for the next update or find a new racing app.

To those of you that complain about how hard it is to earn R$ and Icon Gold, and even more to the one's that complain about spending it. I have only this to say, if it was easy to earn RR3 would be oh so boring!

      Race On!   maybe

    • I'm a bit different in my goals.  I wish to unlock (and win) every "last" event in all the series without ever using any assists (except the heads up display), with cockpit view, with tilt B (because it is most like a real car, and because in real life, I lift off the gas without breaking all the time when I autocross), and without "grinding" (repeating an event over and over again just to make coins or cash), or intentionally slowing the bots down, or saving and reloading constantly, or anything like that.  Notice that I have no intent to buy cars just to race them in one to three events in a series, so I tend to only buy the highest PR car available for each series and only upgrade them to the minimum needed to enter the next event.  I figure that, if I can't win the event yet, I need to become a better driver (and the bots do slow down if I lose often enough and don't hit "retry").  I don't play that often, and with the "side" series, I do have multiple cars to race, so the wait times are no big deal for me when I damage my car.  So far, I haven't had any money problems, mostly because I'm only buying a few cars and upgrading them hardly at all, but if I do run out of money, I'll move on to another game (probably one with a real wheel and pedals that runs on my laptop or something).  But to each their own.

    • Well, it's been a year since I started to play RR3, or would I rather say that I have been playing RR3 since 365 consecutive days now since I installed it :-)

My first goal was to unlock every series and along with it own all the cars! Today I can say that I reached it :-) With the last special event "Reign Supreme" I unlocked the very last sub-series which was still locked. And even if I own only 128/133 cars, it is very much like I already own the remaining ones: only 4 cheap Icon Gold cars which cost a total of 633 Icon Gold, and I already have a bit more than 800 Icon Gold in hand! :-) I am just not spending them right now, but wait for the end of Speedrush TV #3 instead, just in case of an emergency during that event :-p

At the beginning, I started with a complete automatic mode, but I realised that it gave me not much fun :/

I then tried to turn off all assist, and found it way too hard to drive. But in the same time I knew that I needed to turn off some assistance in order to progress in the game. So playing a bit with the settings, I figure that the best setting for me to start with was tilt-B, steering and TC high, but medium on brake assist. It worked well for a while, was a bit challenging in many occasions, and I still had difficulties in some special events when required to drive without assist at all.

Anyway I managed my Icon Gold quite well, bought what were necessary to farm on the most profitable races of the levels I was at. At a certain point I could have bought the LMP1 Audi 2014, which allowed me to progress faster in the career, and farm for more.

Not only the 10-lapper Le Mans helped me earn a lot of R$icon and Icon Gold, but also it helped me a lot to improve my driving skills! Indeed, because it is a very long race, I could easily practice to turn off the assist a bit. Not all at once, but progressively one step at a time. Also not during the whole race neither, when the opponents were catching me up I changed back my settings to were I was more confident. But day after day I could be able to turn off one, then another and another. Now I drive completely without assist (Brake, TC and steering), and since then all the races and events are veeeery easy!! :-)

Luckily for me, I started early enough to be able to farm during a long period of time when it was still possible to service the cars instantly ;-), giving me all the time I needed to farm and buy the cars on sale, or in the career. I wonder how the new rr3 gamers do now, especially with all the high priced Icon Gold cars which have been added since!

So for me from now on, the objectives are quite simple:

      • Complete 100% of all the series
      • Upgrade the required cars for 100% completion
      • Continue to farm with the 10-lapper Le Mans in order to achieve that, and also to keep some Icon Gold for the events coming with the updates in the future
      • Maybe participate in team racing events when I get bored

      See you around.

    • My goal is 100% completion, but I know it will take me long time, so for now I'll try to get at least at the Open Wheelers cars.

Also, I want to get back to the Vertex series, just like 2 years ago... yeah, I restarted from scratch.

Then I'd like to drive the hybrid cars such the Porsche 919 Hybrid.

      GOAL UPDATE

I have simplified my goals somewhat after playing for over a year.

OWN EVERY CAR; 2 to go. I have more than enough to buy them, but I am waiting for sales. They are 750 GC (McLaren F1 GTR) & 650 GC (Porsche 911 RSR 2014). I could still get the showcase discount on both, but I'd rather wait. 40% off on either car is quite a big deal; 150 GC saved on on the McLaren & 130 GC saved on the Porsche. The Posche has been on sale lots, but the McLaren has never been on sale yet (too new probably). If it won't go on sale, I at least want the 20%.

100% COMPLETION; I'm about 1,000 GC short for that. Stupid Enzo and it's 1,015 of upgrades for 100%!! Oh well, that will be the last thing I do!

TEAMS; I gave up on being on a top 10 team. I made it top 25 and it's just so INSANELY boring!!! The game now shows the Asterion as my favorite car, raced 709 times. That is from racing it 700 times in elimination races, back when you just passed everyone, crashed into the wall and got 7 overtakes. Absolutely NO real racing involved.

So that's it. It will take a few more months to earn 1,000 GC. By then there will have been another update or 2, so the GC requirements may go WAY up. The NASCAR series put me back 2,803 GC in upgrades for completion. By far the most costly udate! So we'll see how it goes!

    • I started to play RR3 14 months ago. Now I'm at level 111 with 120 of 135 cars.

My main goal is to get all the cars, but not for every price:

      - 3 cars I can buy with R$ - Audi R18 2014, Veyron, Enzo, it's the question of time,

      - 2 cars I wish I could win as prizes during challenges - RSR 2015 and 919 Hybrid 2014,

      - 2 or 3 cars I'm planning to buy with no doubt and with no time spend on waiting for sales as they can never come on sale  - 599 GTO, F12 and LaFerrari,

      - 3 cars I consider right now as a waste of gold and will wait with buying them - Veneno, Spada Barchetta, 69 Stingray,

      - Buying rest of GC cars depends on the price, if they go on sale I will buy them, though I'm sure it can take some time. The last car from present list and probably last of all after future upgrades will be Aston Martin N430 only because I failed to win it for free by a stupid mistake on last day of Endurance Gauntlet :)

My second goal is of course 100% completion but I guess that I won't be able to achieve that since it requires much more time to spend on farming (one 10-lapper a day is not much), team challenges (I'm not participating) , time trials (not enough skill) or tournaments (cheaters).

Third and most important goal is to have fun :)

My 1st goal is to get all cars.

2nd goal is to unlock all events ingame so i can play whatever I like :)

3rd goal is to finish 100% of the game.

For my 1st goal I miss 20 cars and that will really take several months since game updates come very fast and 8 of them cost at least 300 GC.

I still need to finish the final event on Legend (the formula one) so I can unlock the Ferrari Evolution so I guess my 2nd goal is almost done.

About my 3rd goal, I don't think that I will finish it before RR4 comes. LOL

    • My goals were all cars, all up grades, 100% completion.  I have done this more 12 times. Now I will just get the cars I want. I will never do nascar again I hate it. I will only run on bonus fame days. No more special events. I will just run the races I want not so much lemans all the time. The last bonus fame days and an increase in adds have given me more than 10,000 gc and 218, 000, 000+ rs in reserve. This will sustain me some time. I may make it level 500. I'm over 400 now. I don't see me making it to 9, 999 ever. The amount of gc return to races is about 6+ races per level up now. I get about 56 per level up. Have fun.

    • I just started in to the fun, and boy am I everywhere. I have 14 Cars: Silvia, Focus, Challenger RT, BMW 1M Coupe. Veloster, i20, BMW CSL, Lexus ISF, Charger RT, Nissan 350, Academy SS and Z4Coupe. Have been trying to 100% Pure Stock and get RCI up to 75%(farming for IS350F in Nascar). I plan to get all events to 100%, that's about it. I actually purposefully complete Racing School advanced, I took the 15 Gold over the BMW SDrive.

    • 100% completion. I own all cars, completed everything except Nastycar. Well, until a new update arrives, that is. I get through updates even balanced, more or less. With 700gc a month through ads, daily bonus and a few levelups I come close to completion. Now only one old Nascar series to go, nett cost is 540gc.

    • I race for fun.

Started around September 2015. I must have spent eons just doing the time trial at Suzuka East circuit. Invalid Lap! That's all I had time for, that and a few races. (Level 172, 114 cars later, the game stats probably still name the Ford Focus as my favourite car)

Melbourne or "Wreckbourne", as I called it, was my favourite track. Watching the race video, among other white Focuses, it was easy to tell which was mine. If the race director wasn't so busy counting our Gold Coins, that car would have been black flagged. Funny, back then it felt like going at breakneck speed, hauling that twitchy front wheel drive round the bends and literally kicking rear-ends.

I was wary of getting sucked in, so I picked and chose which events to play, and a few I didn't bother finishing. Of those, Lions of Liepzig is the one that stands out. Imagine going from my "fast" Focus to that! My skill level could only take me to 70% completion and the effort had me reeling. I remember musing over the last few minutes whether to gold-skip the rest.

I tend to stay in a series I enjoy for a while and go back to old races. Back when I opened Acolade, I was blown away by the 918 RSR, guess it prepared me for the LMS Ultra, but not for BMW though. In my opinion, that car is the true heir of the 3.0 CSL, rather than the overpriced M5 we've just competed for. Anyway, raced those cars for a couple of months even going back to the MP4-12C and the F40, Nissan GTR, R8, as far back as the Renault Clio. Thing is, I looked at the F 375 and all I saw was a piece of junk, steeped in history, yes, but still sh*te. And you had to do a special event to win it, and progress. The only reason I did the Redline was because I'd just won the 12C Spider - upgraded to PR 62 plus; fell for the gold-trap drag race.

Unlocked Scuderia a couple of months ago still haven't bought the F14T, instead I've been racing the Koenigseggs, the Paganis and just generally driving the cars I didn't get the chance to enjoy properly from Legend. Had over 4000 GC until a few days ago. Strange, this is the car that brought me to this game.

    • I am continuously changing my goals. My current one is finish Legend with CSF completed 100% (I need 1481 GC for that - buy the F14T + 451 for upgrades - I have 1281), and reach level 125.

My long-term goal is to own 75% of the cars - I don't see the point in buying a car I don't like.

My longest-term goal is to own every car + complete 75% of the game.

Currently 39%, 84 cars out of 146 (Is it the exact number with this update?).

    • 1st goal is to enjoy the game & I do very much :)

2nd is to stay above 50% completion. Currently at 55%

3rd is get final upgrade for F14 T & upgrade other cars too

With 102 cars lvl 213 & career complete after 7 or 8 months in the game 700+ hrs

I'll only get new cars that I see as being interesting to have, the Venom I now see as a gold pit 995 gold that could go on other cars. Edit : I have a habit of fully upgrading cars :P : end edit

I mostly enjoy driving classics or F1 now

I reached another one of my goals. I reached 100% completion just before update 4.3 the LeMans update. I don't know if I will do 100% completion on update 4.3. The upgrades are very expensive this time around and every car needs a lot of them! I will probably hold back until the next update comes just to see if it's another expensive one or not. I don't want to get my gold reserves so low that I miss out on winning a car just because I couldn't afford the upgrades.

Now I am adding a new goal which involves the "Favorite Car" shown on the 3rd profile screen. Mine currently shows this:

      Favorite Car

      Audi R18 e-tron quattro (2014)

You've raced this car 1039 times.

I want to put my personal favorite car on this screen :) Not a hard goal to obtain. It will just take some time. I plan to run the Legend category, McLaren Generations, Tier 9.2 Intercontinental Speed Slam, Endurance event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Speedway) many times. This is one of my favorite events :), which will make this a easy goal :)

I currently race the McLaren P1™ GTR in the event stated above at least 3 times daily. I have no idea how many times I have raced the McLaren P1™ GTR, but my best guess is that I am more than halfway :)

    • My first goal is to own all the cars. It´s quite difficult because the game is always feeding the garage. Right now I have 146 cars.

My second is to complete all series of the game at least the 75% (100% is too much gold demanding for me). I got this except in one in Nascar I probably do not going to make the effort and the last one in leyend which asks for 2 cars and I only have the porsche 2016.

Third one is a little shameful for me... Yesterday I have started to normally run with low direction and brake assistant and no traction control. I want to development this way the same or better I did until now.

      Let´s enjoy!

    • I think my main goal is to force my driving skills to imrpove by racing without any assists and by using a car that is either at or below required PR levels and still win. A first, I called it using the least resources possible, and that is still a high level goal, but even higher is to improve my skills through being frugal with resources.

Another goal is to record events and post them on Youtube. When I got hooked on RR3 and I came across a race I wasn't able to win, I went to Youtube for help. I found Guru and Sickracer. Guru spent more R$ and gold than I had and Sick didn't seem to be racing properly. Later, I realized I could shoehorn into a good car and then farm, so R$ didn't mean much to me either, then I realized 'bot manipulation' is a valid strategy. In the process I think I'm becoing a hybrid of Guru and Sick.

But, I want to act as a bridge for newer racers who might go to Youtube for help with RR3. I think there needs to be a step between where I was and where Guru and Sick and a lot of other racers who post videos. That's what inspired me to make videos and post them. After a few events in which I posted videos, I decided I needed to start making more comments, verbally. After watching Guru and Sick a while, I noticed I was quite entertained my their comments, made during the races. So, I started making my own, as well. I'm hoping I can entertain some viewers out there, too.

Recently, I've added a new goal. To be a valued contributor on rr2.wikia.com. I tried to wait to start the Le Mans Legends, Le Mans Ford GT event and let other racers race out onto the bleeding edge, but I think I like being one of the first to see what Firemonkeys has come up with for their challenges. If I can share my experiences and it helps other racers -- I am all about that!

I think each racer who starts racing daily, at one point or another wants all the cars or 100% on all career events. I might try for the cars and events, if the opportunity comes up to buy cars I've not won, or skipped buying in the showcases -- at good discounts, but I think I only see those as good deals 25% of the time they are offered. So, instead I have the goals above, and I have the goal of entertaining myself and hopefully other mavens of the game, as well.

Good luck in your races and come visit my Youtube channel. Search for KCain10r.

38% complete, 90 of 151 cars owned (will be at least 92 after this special event), favorite manufacturer is BMW, most used car is Lambo Sesto Elemento, 407 hours 44 minutes and 27 seconds spent racing.

Goals: Group C in WTTT...which leads to the sub goals of unlocking all cars in the Legends series and keeping/growing a GC reserve of 1500 or so which will allow me the freedom to buy the cars in a given week and/or upgrade as needed. I really want all the GT/P1 racing cars; few other cars in the game really get my blood moving to drive anymore, they just can't move around the track how I like.

I doubt I'll ever feel the urge to get to 100% in the series. I'm a big NASCAR fan, but I don't really have any urge to buy the cars. I might get the Dale Earnhardt, Jr. car eventually just because I'm a fan of his, but the rest don't do anything for me.

    • I unlocked Campionato Scuderia Ferrari about a month ago, after around 3 months of playing. I skipped all cars that were not necessary to buy, so my current goal is to go back and collect the cars and 100% finish series which can be completed with r$ only.

My long time goal is simply to get all the cars that I want. To be honest, I'm not interested in most of gold-costing cars, but I'd love to get the LaFerrari.

My original goal was to collect all the F1 cars, which I did.

Persoanlly I found the LaFerrari to be a let down. You can only do 12 upgrades until you have to spend gold and it's a gold pig! As it's only required for 4 races in the whole game, I only did R$ upgrades. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome looking car. I just found that I didn't use it much as other cars in the series are WAAAAY cheaper to upgrade.

I was all pumped on getting the bugatti's. Then I got the Formula 1 & LMP1 cars and my opinion changed. Still love the sounds of thr Bugatti's though.

    • I've had different goals over the years. When I started I wanted to complete the game 100%. But since FM has seen fit to take most of my ads away, this is no longer a possibility. Just owning all the cars was my next goal, until they bombarded us with NASCAR. At this point, my goal is to quit playing before I go insane and pull all my hair out!

    • Did anyone see RRGuru's race that achieved 100% in events/Career?  There was no celebratory "You Finished" screen, no reward, R$, nor GC, nothing except the reward for getting 100% in that particular stage. Of course, when he sees his percent complete, it has three digits, and the journey is the reward, blah, blah, blah.

Here's a fun discussion question. What would be an appropriate reward for 100%?

Double your gold reserve? But there are no cars and few upgrades needed....

You get to start first in all races where normally you aren't  starting first?

A gold car, fully upgraded, of your choosing with a PR higher than all others in the game, and all customizations gratis?

Entry to the hundred percenters only track (maybe Monaco GP?)

      What would you want?

        Loading editor
    • Then every update you get 100% again to claim another reward for 100% clever idea, double gold reserve then :P

Okay, I take back that part on skill but only partially, since he can be very tough in the Gauntlet. But the the other two aspects, think for yourself.

P.S. Rosberg is not very arrogant.

The 100% completion goal just got more expensive and it will continue to get more expensive with each succesive update. As I understand it, the "Exclusive" series will keep getting added to. I really like messing with all the customize options though and having somewhere else to race the FXX K is really nice.

EDIT: The Exclusive series is not counted in 100% completion of the game. It is like a bonus series.

After hitting 100% completion once, I don't really care about it anymore. It's not like Super Mario Bros of old where finishing meant something. You don't get any wonderful feeling, so that goal is way down my list now. I will wait patiently for upgrade sales before upgrading.

Other than that, I am obsessed with the McLaren P1 GTR Indy Endurance race. I just got past the 200 km mark and am now aiming for 300.I actually find it one of the most challenging things in the game. You have to race hard yet be constantly aware of what's going on up the track so you don't get tangled up in the wreck. BUT... you can't be to passive or your clock runs out. If anyone wants to give it a shot, the leader board is HERE.

    • Just spent net 250 Icon Gold increasing my completion % from 90 to 91 %. The first time I spend Icon Gold, not on finalizing special events or buying cars.

It felt good to finalize to 100% some of the old series, but oddly enough. I felt guilty in doing so.

-Get to end of career (CSF): done. But did not buy the F14 yet, although I can. It's not necessary yet, when it gets into a WTT, I will buy it. Needed some discipline on that choice:P

-Get all cars (currently 128 of 160)

-Achieve 100% in everything, but in this order: AM, PRO/AM, PRO, EXP, MAS, EL, LEG, NASCAR

To achieve this, I learned to not upgrade cars with gold unless I have to, keeping 20% showcases available en sometimes just wait for sales. Like with the Lambo Asterion: it will come on sale know, I will get it.

    • I set progressive goals which were:

      1. Unlock all career series
      2. Own all cars (and maintain this position at the end of each update)
      3. Complete career series (and maintain this position at the end of each update)
      4. Complete exclusive series (new goal, 3 down, 2 to go)

The first goal I achieved several years ago, the second goal I finally achieved earlier this year and have maintained so far, the third goal was looking challenging but update 4.5 has brought it to within about 2000 Icon Gold. The final goal is relatively new but I've only got the Atom and Jaguar to do which might be achievable.

    • The jaguar does cost 1000GC to upgrade though and I think they might offer a sale on the upgrades to make the sale price seem more "justified".

    • Justi...what? The upgrades in all modern jags are ridiculously expensive. Actually, the pricing and structure of upgrades is so horrible now that it's easy to guess when the car was added just by lookig at the updates.

Look at the C-X75. Fantastic car. But why would I spend over 300 GC (after the discount!) for roughly 4 Cup races that are nothing special?

    • I'm now at lvl 203, 23M fame and 3k GC in stock. I don't remember when I started the game, and I don't know where I can find this info in-game or on my devices, may be 2 years.

It takes me several months to discover this useful wikia, which help me daily to improve my strategy and save some precious GC. (and improve my english in same time)

So, as many of you, when I start a game, I really appreciate to finish it and so my goals are

      - 100% cars : In a good way, I have 160 / 164 and just need the 3 AUS V8 and the 69 Stingray 427 for 150 GC (added after I advance in the 2 series, so no showcase)

      - 100% completion : Not the same I think, since the last update, I'm at more than 80%

I used all informations I found here, strategy for upgrading, and according to Michael P and Procrastinator comments about fame, I have an rough idea in how many GC I will need.

I made one table with all of series I have to finish, cost for upgrades and GC in return, so I know that I need more or less 13k GC net. (35 classics series 11k,8 Nascar 4k and 5 Exclusive 1k, and I have actually 3k in stock)

In another table, I count the fame required to get 13k GC in leveling up from my lvl 203, and it's 80M fame and 280 lvl !!!

So I convert in number of times I need to do 10 laps Endurance King version (28400), and the result is 2824 times without agent, or 1412 times if I consume 1 GC each time.

So if I will do one 10 laps each day with agent from now, it takes me again 4 years to get 100% completion.

Of course during these 4 years, in one hand I will get the daily rewards, and few ads but in another hand, I will need more GC for the next updates which follow an expensive way.

I invite you to do this little exercise to have an idea of the time required, and don't be afraid too much.

I don't think I can and even want to continue 4 years even this is a great game...

    • I'm about to give up on ever completing Elite.  It just costs too much for upgrades with the new cars.  I've never considered getting all the Legends cars, much less completing it, as it is too much for what time I have to play the game, and Elite is now more expensive then NASCAR for me to complete.  So I'm down to completing 100% of the first six career series, and then maintaining.  I'm still going to try to collect all the Elite cars, but that may change if they keep putting new cars in Elite.

    • Didn't take me long to realise I was never going to achieve 100%. I've got 100% on amateur and pro/am. The rest are between 90 and 96 percent complete, except nasty car, which is at 46%. Doesn't sound like it's too far to go, until you add up the gold and/or time to 100%. That last few percent is a killer.  I think the last 10% of the game is over 50% of the cost. Just way too unreasonable to ever consider actually getting there.

    • I've unlocked all career series and now my goal is just to collect all non-nascar cars. I counted that the remaining 30 cars would cost me 13k GC :(

    • Thanks RandyMc, I look my achievements in Play Game and refer here to History and that seems to be right. I start on August 2014, in version 2.5 with Speedrush TV Challenge, I remember it now. So about 2 years as I said yesterday with intense periods and others very quiet.

From this date, I had the chance to finish all the events and won the cars.

In the first times I played the game, I enjoyed a lot and found that it was very good things all of these regulars updates. I was so shy of thinking that FM just want to improve the game each time they add some new contents, for our simple entertainement. Now, I know that is not their main goal.

Whatever, I didn't want to stay with this strange feeling if I was, or not, able to finish the game, or when I will be. That why I decided to collect all of these infos and make my tables.

I clearly notice that the more I advance in career, the longer it becomes each time after new update, and above all, FM continues in following an expensive dynamic.

I understand now that will be never ended and so my dream of 100% completion will never come true.

When that is said, I have 2 options, stop now because of my desillusion, or just focus on another goal, my pleasure

I have been vasilating about staying in, or getting out. I was on a mad dash to the finish line for a while, then through this site I found out why I was only getting 5 ads a day for gold. That very nearly made me quit. Now it's just a time waster, something to do that is still enjoyable. As long as I keep in mind the fact that FM will try to screw the game up instead of improve it, and I don't start to expect anything more, I'm alright.

I can see a day not too far off this game will be discontinued due to either mismanagement, or lack of continued interest and respect by the customers. Then something else will come along anyway.

      100% completion ?

      100% upgraded cars ?

I have been pondering the last two; even did some efforts in this direction. Tedious and boring.

Added a new goal : restart game on new device; again go to full garage. Doing the "old" stuff with the acquired skills and complete knowledge of the game has proven much more rewarding than grinding 10 lappers in between special events to move that 1% up in game completion.

      Can recommend it.

I started a second game back in May. I was having a lot of fun with it, until the ad problem happened. I had just gotten to the point were I was having to buy GC cars. Now, with no appreciable gold coming in, I can't progress. WTTT is not an option because I don't have top tier cars in that game, and farming two games is absolute nonsense. If I'm going to bore myself silly farming ten lappers, it going to be my main game.

I honestly can't see new players anywhere in this game anymore without spending TONS of real money. The gold is just too overpriced.

        Loading editor
    • How far have you both got with the second games, levels and game %wise? I'm seriously considering getting a second device for another game, as the experience gained so far would make the game easier, but I don't want to delete the "main" game yet.

My goal is very modest. I want a fully loaded P1 GTR on the track for the Indy Endurance race. No 100% anywhere. But I don't think I can do it without a 10 lapper available. So second game goal would be to hoard gold for the right sale, and leave the game standing until something comes up.

Having bought the TS040 in the recent sale, I'm almost there, but I've made mistakes along the way that make the process so long winded.

        Loading editor
    • I've always thought there may be a good game in here somewhere.  I've been playing for 10 months now, and I've been putting lots of time into the game, and I'm at 44% complete and barely keeping up with the new cars.  I've had a lot of fun, and learned a lot, but both are decreasing, and it has become obvious that I'm not going to get anywhere significant.

Furthermore, the game keeps getting less "real" and more insane, and the latest "concept" F1 car, the MP4-X belongs more in a "futuristic" racing game than a "real" racing game.

      However...

If one would take the MP4-X, completely upgrade it, and then not service it, it becomes somewhat similar, or maybe just a bit more, than modern top racing cars (F1, Le Mans, Indycar), at least compared to any other car unserviced.  Futhermore, being fully upgraded and unserviced, one could run time trials as long as one wanted, without servicing or farming or spending any time except driving.  And one would have their own ghost to race against, so one could continuously improve.  And while the physics model is flat out wrong for a normal low downforce road car, it may not be as bad for a high downforce race car.  I've never driven a high downforce race car, and I never will, so I won't know the difference, but I do autocross road cars, so I do know the difference.

And I happen to have enough gold and R$ to win and fully upgrade the MP4-X (maybe in the other order, though).

So that's what I'm going to do.  I'm quitting the rat race after this event, but I'm not quitting the game.  The MP4-X is in two series (bonus and exclusive), so I should have a few tracks to time trial on, and that will have to be good enough.  I may even have enough gold to upgrade the Lotus 125 and/or the F14T to do the same, if the tracks are different, and I get bored with the MP4-X.  Of course, I can still run other races if I want, but I don't know that I will want to.

And, if I do have extra time, maybe I'll join an indoor karting league, and do some real racing.

    • The game is addictive and I love it. I once managed to get a full garage (151/151), which was my initial goal and I then stopped updating the game, trying to go for 100% completion. It soon proved out of my reach, because I still needed massive amounts of gold to upgrade my cars. Farming would have been tedious and boring, so I decided to update again and to reconsider my goals :

      - First, I want to have fun playing and trying new cars

      - I am not after 100% completion

      - A full garage is not that rewarding, most of the cars being left unused

      - Gold being now so essential, I decided to make it my top priority : my new goal is now to earn as much gold as possible and only invest in cars I really fancy. I will not neglect a car I can win easily, but gold now comes first. This way, I can enjoy playing without being bothered by time limits, mandatory gold upgrades or the urge of owning each and every car at any cost...

FM turned me into a bounty hunter, only racing for fun, quick gold and easily won cars :-)

I am crazy about Lamborghinis and have been for all my life (measuring the quality of racing games by the number of Lambos you can drive :D ), so my primary goal is to own all the Lambos in the game (perhaps fully upraded) which should be easy enough to obtain. I currently own 2 Lambos, with two more ready to unlock as soon as the Lambo Centenario event is over (which i intend to complete), and have sketched out a plan on how to unlock the rest one by one.

My goal after that.... i dont know yet. Perhaps attempt to unlock all series (skipping Nascar for a while - dont really like that Class, both in game and IRL), getting to 100%, owning all cars. What is most important is to have fun while racing all my Lambos :)

At first, all I wanted is to drive as much as I wanted at the Spa circuit. I thought that I could quit, once I am completely satisfied with the driving. I also knew that I might get addicted to the game, which is not the best situation for me as I am doing my last semester for my UG degree.

After I am done with Spa, my goal was to get the Ferrari F40. I thought I could quit Rr3, once I am satisfied driving the F40.

It's been almost 2 months (from Jan 2017), since I have stared playing RR3. I really wanted to take a break since my end semester exams are nearing, but I honestly cant even stop playing at least for a day.

My current aim is to get the F14T. Hopefully, I can quit RR3 after that.

My current status is:level 79, started Vertex series and needed 26 more trophies to unlock Motorfiesta. I hope Ferrari evolution would unlock after completing Motorfiesta and I could finally get my hands on F14T in Ferrari evolution. So I think I am only two series away from my ultimate goal.

I'm also looking at top 500 spots in other cars (this number will change depending on how much time I feel I can get)

On a side goal I'm building funds for the MP4-X since it's the only car with good lenth races and it's a higher challenge to look for top 100 there too (I can dream)

    • At first I would like to say thank you to the admins and contributors of this wiki page. Without them and the information here I guess I could easily get lost in the world of RR3.

When I started the game back in October-November 2015, I only wanted to obtain one and single hyper car. I was only at level 40-50 when I won the Regera. That was a big deal for me, I was at Pro/Am back then, I was really happy with it and raced it more than 300 times in LeMans. The Regera is one of the rare cars I have fully upgraded.

The Regera and LeMans really speeded up my advancement in the career, after a few months, I already had the F14T upgraded to PR123 and the 412 T2 at PR118. I also had some luck in the career. I could won the RSR2015 in a Gauntlet for free and High Tech Legends unexpectedly opened up  for me one day during which I could unlock and buy the P1 GTR with showcase discount (I think it was a little bug because one day later FM closed HTL).

After reaching the end of career I seriously ran out of gold, so I took the special offer and purchased 1019 gold for 20EUR for prolonging my stay in RR3.

Since then I learn to drive fast, to reach top ranks in WTTT, collect cars and enjoy some nice and challenging races. My current favourite is the 7lapper in SPA with the F1 GTR (at PR77)  in McLaren Generations.

I wish good racing for everyone.

One goal I had but never listed here was learning "no assists" driving. I've now got that down. I generally run Tilt B now with SA low, sensitivity 4 and all else off. But for some races I switch to all off, sensitivity on 10 Tilt B, like when there are many off-track sections to run. I will run all off with Tilt A in the Porsche Endurance race because it conserves my energy when racing for 2+ hours! I can keep the clock full either running either way.

The following are my thoughts and tips on the different methods:

I used to ALWAYS run Tilt A BA low, SA high, TC on, sensitivity 4.

BA teaches you all the wrong braking points BA high greatly over-brakes while BA low brakes late. Learning to feather the throttle wasn't too hard since I used to feather the brakes when running Tilt A. Learning to coast and when to get in the throttle just comes with time. ALSO, the game brakes sometimes when no brakes are required! There's times you just lift for a partial second and then go back in full throttle.

Tilt B is much better when first learning no (or very low) assists, as recovering from skids is easier. Just lift off the throttle, steer a little straighter (widen the corner) and your car often pulls out by itself. With Tilt A, it generally makes the skids worse as it's either full throttle or full brakes.

Once you learn the braking points for a track, they don't vary much. Meaning it's very close for every car. There are some exceptions mind you. The Ferrari F1 cars and the MP4-X are insane! It's quite shocking how late you can brake in those!

People used to say, use TC off to ease into this. I disagree. BA will either over brake or brake late. Braking late with TC off will just throw you off track. Get in the lead, then switch to Tilt B with TC and brakes off and see how you do. You have to pick reference points at every track for when to brake (like real racers do). I started doing this at Le Mans in Endurance Kings. You can be in lead after the 1st straight which leaves you about 30 minutes to practice WHILE earning fame & R$.

      Good luck out there!

    • THE ULTIMATE GOAL

Based on all remarks above I see (in general) the following goals in the wiki community

      1. Play the game - have fun

      2. Reach a specific skill goal (WTTT; driving skill without supports, this Wiki leader boards...)

      3. Get a specific car; set of cars

      4. Get a specific number of cars - not all

      5. Reach a specific % of completion of the game - not 100%

      6. Get a full garage - all cars

      7. Get 100% completion of the game

      8. Get a fully upgraded garage (including 100% completion of the game)

The group of people reaching goal 6 is significant. The group of people reaching goal 7 is a handfull. Goal eight has been reached by ??? and is to my understanding extremely difficult for non-first-hour players.

But the question remains : what is beyond goal 8?

      What?

    • I started the fully upgraded garage thread but I don't think anyone has admitted to achieving it yet. The only fully upgraded ones I've seen in the game have turned out to be cheating.

In my team SNAiLs we have 5 guys with all fully upgraded cars all legit. You don't have to cheat to get all the cars, just with a few tricks up your sleeve ;-)

    • To be honest, I just want to have all cars fully upgraded.

Slight change to goals. Own all cars EXCEPT for the useless 2017 #18 NASCAR Camry. Surely they will put this car in an LTS or something in some update. At any rate, it's the one car hampering my "own all cars goal". I just won't buy a car this isn't needed for even 1 race.

    • I don't have any strong goals in this game, but before i returned in RR3 after long period (i think about a year or so) i think sport cars is best to own. Nice looking coupe and fast (i hear once AUDI R8 on the street), but after i saw Nissan GT-R LM Nismo and GoPro movie about it and Le Mans... i changed my opinion about fast cars and abour races in general. It's not only ride fast on straight line, but also ride fast at corners.

So, for me it's experience (WTTT, TE) and challange (SE) with really good players here (ME7 and Tuwwel for example). If back to goals... it probably collect more gold to be more secure when new cars arrived.

    • Achieved one goal last update - own all cars.

Then cloud restored to get my 500 gold back from that NASCAR.

New goal - 100% and -1 car. On course!

Goal 8: find out who won the formula e NY competition

Goal 9: move into some subatomic place where you can have a free play mode in this game as the monkeys won't do it for us. May involve hacking and writing own game!

    • Own all the cars, and don't spend more gold than I can generate in racing and ads. No longer try to get 100% - for the most part it costs too much gold and I've learned to save gold to do basic upgrades in the next round of cars, Enjoying the game much more now.

    • Well, I'm (almost) reluctant to admit it, but I guess I'm going for 100% completion. BUT, although I'm only 16 races away from it that represents an investment of over 2,000 gold from where I am now! Plus, if they do give the Veneno an Exclusive series you can double that. Frightening.

I'm also all all cars -1. No way I'm spending 500 gold on a car don't need.

    • Aurelio Zen have you seen the Gold, Gold and More Gold blog? I should help you keep track of when to focus on winning the cars or spending on 100% progression.

You might also find this Mazda Update (5.4.0) blog interesting. I am going to keep tracking my gold for a few more updates to see how it goes.

    • I have been on RR3 for over 2years now. Really enjoying every single minute I spend on it, especially lately. Is that affecting my current life at work and home? Of course yes, but guess what I am still enjoying it. And as much as I read other folks complaint about it; me too it is affecting my relationship with my wife. But I think gradually she is getting to accept it. Especially as I have downloaded some games on her mobile and she too is killing herself with them. So complaints reduced.

My goals. First 1 is to be a TOP racer. Race like the ME7 or RusTORK or some other TOP racers I have watched their videos. My second goal, own all RR3 cars. Each 100% and continue following updates to own all other cars that will be added. Going 100% RR3 completion The last but not the least, be the lead for my country (Cameroon in Africa) for RR3. Started already with 2 colleagues. Created a WhatsApp group where I update them frequently on RR3. Data I collect from here and also other Facebook pages I am a member of. Look forward to chat with more than 3 digit number of racers from Cameroon. I know the target is crazy but I think achievable as I look forward to the support of you guys as well if you know any Cameroon lad/gent racing RR3

    • i had a moderate goal... all cars that aren't nascar

i've reached it today. 181 of 191, 10 nascar cars missing.

took me 295 levels and 23979 gold to achieve.

      total time 1765:11:46.

now it is time to think of new goals

only if there will be a sale, which there probably won't be any time soon.

my thoughts go in the direction of fully upgrading for WTTT and then aim for B.

doing 9 non-completed exclusive series is another thought.

    • My Targets are

      1. All Cars. I reached it from 3.0 until 5.3, as the useless and not winnable Camry came in. So at the Moment its 190. And i think i will not reach this target again, until they put in a LTS To win this car. :(

      2. Reach 100% Series Completion. I reached this target first in 5.4, with 2469:22:11 hours. :D

      3. Make all cars FU. This target is far far away only 41 cars at the Moment. Normally three or four more per Update, so there is no way to reach this while they put in 4 or 5 new cars every update. :(
