    • Racetracks from Gran Turismo:

      1) Twin Motegi On road course (possibly the toughest racetrack to get a nicely setup racecar)

      2) Fuji Speedway 2005 (one of the longest straights of any GP circuit)

      3) Nurburgring Nordshliefe (If EA can do it and stare away from phone users that think the game uses too much memory space, it will be the best track to drive on all day long, even if 1 lap of the track will ruin the servicing of the car. It doesn't matter, and besides it is easy to learn a 20 km racetrack. This track is just over exaggerated for it's length. Take it as a challenge which is more rewarding than the Hong Kong Formula E circuit which only inspires cars with carpark handling in those boring U-turns and 90 degree turns.)

      4) Willow Springs (The fastest road in the west)

      5) Tsukuba Circuit (Very nice small track for having fun with hot hatchs)

      6) Cote De Azure (The first racetrack: Monaco GP Circuit)

      7) Circuit De La Sarthe (I know it exists already but the one I'm talking about is the No chicane version of the racetrack that has a very very long straight which was the racetrack used until 2000 when it deemed to dangerous with Group C cars having wierd aerodynamics flying up in the air and crashing down. Still forget the crashes, atleast this version of the Le Mans circuit allows you to reach the topspeed of a say Koenigsegg One:1 and Hennessey Venom GT.)

What do you guys think of putting Nurburgring nordschleife

        Loading editor
    • Why not add the Isle of Man T.T. Circuit it makes the Nurburgring Nordschleife look like a carting track!

        Loading editor
    • Please don't add the big circuits into the game. We only want small circuits with a length of no more than 14 km. We don't want a car to be serviced after just one lap from a full service car (if the car isn't fully upgraded yet).

One lap of the Nordschleife is near 21 km and your car might use up all service bars before going to the next race or the next goal. And it becomes worse if the time you need to wait to service your car is 5 hours.

Why are you using plural? I definitely prefer long circuits to short ones and Nordschleife is the first on my wishlist.

    • TBH I don't think the game could handle the Nordschleife. Well, not without excluding some lower devices anyway. Memory requirement must be nuts.

That's NOT what it is. The Sudschleife is the old south extended circuit portion of the Ring, while the Mullenbachschleife wasn't formed until the Nurburgring Grand Prix was established, where the Sudschleife had to be demolished for this to happen.

Alright, smarty pants, give me the FULL history of spa de francorchamps, nurburgring and circue de la sarthe, please.

The Sudschleife was originally a part of the Nordschleife back in the World War era when the ADAC Eifelrennen raced around the Eifel mountains, which was deemed very unsafe. Thus, the Nurburgring was born. and lots of races were held between World War I and World War II.

Racing resumed after WWII, where the Nordschelife would be the main venue for the German Grand Prix, but F1 cars had to take high risks on the Green Hell so a chicane was added before the start line.

The Sudschleife would still be the main host of the German Motorcycle Grand Prix until there were plans for a Grand Prix Circuit in 1984. The Grand Prix Circuit would later be built on what was formerly the Sudschleife, which is the Nurburgring we know now.

For Spa, it started out as a very long road shaped like a triangle in 1920 until Eau Rouge was added in 1939. The Triangle would remain until the end of World War II, where some corners would be replaced (the Virage de Ancienne Douane would be cut short, thus giving birth to the Eau Rouge/Raidillon kink we know now, the chicanes were totally eliminated and would be a part of the Masta Straight).

This circuit didn't last long until 1979 where the circuit was shortened to just 7 km and the start line moved from the Eau Rouge/Raidillon entrance to just between La Source and Blanchimont in 1981, which is then the Spa we know now.

For Circuit de la Sarthe, it started out as a triangle connecting Mulsanne to the south, Arnage to the northwest, and Le Mans to the north.

The circuit would go through a variety of changes, including a re-profiled Tertre Rouge, the addition of the Circuit Bugatti du Mans, and a shorter permanent circuit at barely 14 km if combined with the public roads of the past (this includes adding the Porsche Curves and the Ford Chicanes).

Come 1990, the Mulsanne straight gets two chicanes to prevent cars going over 400 km/h on an almost 6 km straight, because FIA now prohibits a circuit with a straight of more than 1 mile long.

The Porsche Curves, Ford Chicanes, Dunlop Curve, Dunlop Chicanes, and Tertre Rouge have since been re-profiled to add runoff areas for safer racing, which resulted in the Circuit des 24 Heures we know now.

    • I think Baku is rather a mess of a track, it actually seems like two completely separate tracks (one tight and twisty and the other open and fast ... in fact, if you think about it, rather like Mount Panorama!) which have been pasted together. Given that licensing fees and/or rights probably play a large part in track selection, maybe they'd be better off adding a couple more imaginary tracks (Melbourne is "real" but there's no track there) which could borrow elements from real tracks, it would also allow them to tweak/refine the tracks over time. Just a suggestion.

What would be better is to add weather effects.

Seasonal changes could be incorporated by changing the grip level accordingly.

Are people going to get really technical and say that acceleration should be worse in the cold because the air is denser BUT power would be up (especially for turbos) so that might balance it out! And what about altitude effects!?!

True. What we need is a way to selectively download/delete content so people with older device can run the game. My previous phone is an iPhone 5 with 16 GB space. Right now the game with all content loaded is 4.92 GB. That's a lot of storage I could otherwise used for photoes

I've suggested as much a few times.

By the way, just checked, on my iPad it is consuming a monstrous 6.75Gb! WTF!?! That's 839Mb for the App and 5.91Gb for Documents & Data!

I wonder if it's not very tidy with the data, maybe it doesn't remove unpacked data container files every time?

I'm going to delete and reinstall and see if it reduces in size.

REINSTALLED ... Installed and downloaded All Assets. Game now 3.4 Gb. What the hell was that other 3.1 Gb!?!

It's climbed from a freshly installed 3.4Gb yesterday to 3.5Gb today after some playing. I'll see what happens after the update (on Monday). I agree that it's most likely temporary (update) files or game files (extracted track/car data) not being cleaned up properly. What else could it be!?!

        Loading editor
    • Replays also take up space but they should be deleted when you exit the event. Also, the texture files are all compressed, don't know if it temporarily uncompresses them somewhere. If anyone can find a way to uncompress them properly I'd be very grateful, it's the only thing stopping me from rendering the full 3D tracks.

    • Unfortunately I'm not able to find out how the additional memory is being used (I just know it is) or to remove temporary files. Is there a tool for (non-jail-broken) iOS that lets you look more closely at how the memory is being used and allows you to remove temporary files?

It is really is but it will waste the energy when the race until the battery is empty, it is waste the energy, so I will definitely the Monaco ePrix is better than this race track layout.

        Loading editor
    • What do you mean?  The whole thing is a braking zone so the battery will always be charging.  Just wait til the real event Sept 31, you'll see.

Come on, do you really expect anyone to believe that diagram is accurate?

Everyone knows that Kuala Lumpur ePrix is ANTICLOCKWISE

        Loading editor
    • That's only in the Special Event 7.2 to win the 2018 FE cars.  You have to do 3 laps in reverse before Robo-Magnus does one lap the right way.

Totally not accurate, it is waste the energy because everytime the battery will runs out, so I will best chosen for the race tracks is Monaco ePrix is better than this track layout.

      Spring Mountain

It's the Spring Mountain Resort Test Track. I said "Test Track" because it doesn't qualify to be a race course despite being a permanent racing facility.

        Loading editor
    • Why doesn't it qualify as a race course? It holds all year round race events with organised series. Just because it's a private members club doesn't mean it isn't a race course. I'm sure the members would be quite insulted by you calling it a test track and these are not people you want as enemies.

Agreed. Absolute stonker of a circuit. Would be fun to jump the cars across Dingle Dell as the BTCC cars used to :-)

But the BTCC only used the Indy Circuit since its inauguration. And Brands Hatch Indy was made first before GP.

    • GP Circuit is already in the game if you can get past the barrier. Some have suggested in the past that there is an issue with rendering some trees or something but I've not had a problem.

If you ignore the texture mapping, which I still haven't sorted out, you can see the GP part of the circuit at the top of the image.

    • Opening the other half of brands hatch is a cop out. I've run brands too many times already. Same with taking it the chicanes at LeMans. A slight variation of something we've been running to death already does not count (imo) as new.

We need an entirely new track. And as has been reported, we just may be getting one next update anyway.

Not sure why you think this would be a cop-out, just extending an existing track and giving us more racing options, why would that be a negative, and it would probably be a lot easier for them to do than licensing and creating a completely new track ... however, maybe licensing is the issue with the full Brands Hatch track?

I have said this many times and these should be easy for them to implement.

Circuit de Catalunya GP (One with final two corners of National circuit)

Le Mans with long Mulsanne straight and no Ford chicane (well we do that in our games dont we..)

      Brands Hatch GP

      Le Mans Bugatti

      Brands Hatch GP for sure.

Also Monaco, Circuit Gilles VIlleneuve and Watkins Glen.

Don't forget snow and snow on night! Would be epic.

    • There are other games that have weather. I don't care for it. Can you imagine trying to win a night race in rain or snow, in an F1 or Venom? No thanks. I'm here for the fun, not aggravation.

      But back to the tracks.

I don't expect we'll be seeing a new track anytime soon. And as much as I enjoyed this release with the Red Bull track, I've realized it's just not enough to keep the game exciting. But, I remember a game I one had a long time ago, that would run races on existing tracks, in the reverse direction. It looked and felt like a completely different track. This would be an easy way for FM to give us more track options without much cost. They could introduce a new variation every few updates to keep the game 'fresh'.

For Le Mans Bugatti I think it'll take a long time to load a much shorter circuit. But I'd love both of those circuits.
