it is easy (when you slow down the bots)

Yes, very easy. You shouldn't have any problems completing.

You need a good practise on the new tracks. So, the tip is.... When you race on the new track/s, keep racing the same for couple of times by force closing the APP before you reach finish line. This way, you get a little practice on the new track and can try to remember the track.

Srwiki wrote:
There are many events that require us to stay on track. I need practice for that, so sometimes I "retry" an event even if I've won, just to get to know the track better, i.e. reconnaissance. This tip is important in any series that introduces a new track.

A quick tip if you can't pass 4.3: Go into Arcade-mode (viewing the car from the back) and try again. I failed 7x in my normal cockpit view before i realised i needed a better view of the track.

In Arcade mode i did it in one try, recording 52.8 and with 3 serious errors. All $-upgrades done, one GC upgrade. With a little more practice the 50 second barrier must be reachable.

Another tip if you still can't make it: Spend GC on upgrades that improve Grip. Top speed and acc are plenty for Leipzig.

  • 5.4 Get 3rd.
    1. Markus Liebermann was 1st. Richard Platt 3rd. Brakes low, had one too many off's. Failed on lap 2. Used ~5.
    2. 1st 5:44 v Markus Liebermann 5:45, brakes High, due to the very slow back markers I was able to pass Markus on lap 3 and wait at the top of the hill for him to catch up. Waited by the line on the final lap.

The fine controls needed for 5.3 are killing me. The controls either aren't responsive enough or lock up / stop responding and I go off track. Good job cloud save works.

Event 6.1: Win this event without going off track

  • 6.2.2 Win these events
  • 6.2.3 Win these events
T120 asked:
Guys, how do you get pass 6.2 speed snap with no RS upgrade? Somebody please help?

XgX Reply:
Go really slow a couple of times till the target speed reduces. Then do a run. Use the slow runs as practice.

122.166.180.161 reply:
Switch off all assists except traction and cut across the grass on the right. 234 kmph with no upgrades

Renjithv posted:
Started day 6. Looks like the bots have gradually picked up. 6.2 Speed Snap had me compete against StayFrosty and it didn't look like I can do it with just R$ upgrades.

I think I will use the sunday to slow down the AI so that it won't be as bad on day 7 when I'm likely to have much lesser time to complete the event due to work. Others in similar situation, I would strongly recommend revisiting your AI difficulty.

208.138.34.236 reply:
6.2 speed snap can be done with just R$ upgrades. Need to find the right exit angle and point to start accelerating. Eventually I hit 136mph, but that took me about twenty tries. I cloud-restored after each failed attempt to save car wear, and cloud-saved after each successful one. Another difficult one with many tries was 6.5. Overall level 6 was completed without servicing the car.

89.98.77.215 reply:
It is all about exit speed. The whole game is, but the Leipzig challenges require that even more. Take it easy going into a corner and accelerate as soon as you can. That should do it. Most drivers go into a corner too fast, needing them to brake while cornering and the whole concept of racing fast is braking before the corner and accelerate into it. The exact moment of hitting the pedal is dependend on the radius of the bend and the grip of the car. Therefor grip-updates are always worth more than speed-updates on a cornery track like Leipzig.

Endurance events and Elimination events are particularly good to slow the bot's down for future events, next best are autocross events and speed snap event, see Methods to slow bots down.

Event 6.3: Stay on track and finish a lap with a minimum average speed of 95 mph (152 kph)

203.106.158.198 asked:
have you using GC to upgrade your car? Very hard to get average 95mph for 6.3

Ntobec reply:
Managed to do it with R$ upgraded car. Need to drive the perfect lap as only hit the speed just before the finish line.

89.98.77.215 reply:
6.3 requires a good lap, not a perfct one. Ik is key however to keep accelerating through the finishline. Don't bother about going off-track in the first corner, you will just hit the 95mph mark and the stage ends at the finishline.

Event 6.4: Complete this race in under 1m 24s without going off track

This is as yet unconfirmed, maybe others may have had the same experience. If you don't feel you are doing well, or going to win, stop racing and force quit the app. Re start the event ( you will be reutrned to the state you were in before starting the event ). I am seeing that after doing this the race appears to be easier. The first time I raced 7.4 i was about 80m behind 1st as I approached the bus stop on the last lap. I then force quited, and tried again. On the second attempt I managed to get to the lead on lap 6. The bots all felt slower. I am also seeing this in the 10 lapper.

Done with stage 1 R$ upgrade. Although Magnus's car was flying, I managed to hit him at full speed at the end of the second straight and he went into the gravel. Make sure to hit the barrier to prevent from going of track. Tried 2 or 3 times before nailing the perfect hit. Then driving carefully blocking all trajectories near the kerbs as he managed to catch me easily. Finished with 100m gap. Should be easy with a faster car though.

Just completed the LoL challenge with R$ upgrades only as well. Had to do The 7.4 three times - unserviced car - and completed in fourth go after servicing after 6 laps only. In 7.5 even though I was quite slower I took Marcus on the inside on the hairpin at the end of the longest straight. He crashed into me and spun which was enough for me to keep him at bay. Overall the challenge is fairly simple to complete without having to spend any GC and playing for about 30-40 mins a day.

  • 7.5 1st 1:24 v 1:32 Magnus Rylander, passed before the first straight and just pulled away :)

  • Cars 108/118
  • Level 136
  • R$ 26,562,551
  • 2,296 Icon Gold

Conclusion:
I'v enjoyed the event, even with the keyboard controls on my BlueStacks, making it difficult for me, good job cloud save and restore works :). It was easy on the Hudl, even though the cloud save & restore isn't working. I didn't have to repair mid stage, just at the end of the last stage each day. Little difference notice online and offline. Overall a simple, enjoyable event with a nice car as the prize.

Start / End Strategy

You have 7 days to complete the 7 stages, the event is 7 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time you start it, the last stage will end 7 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is straight forward and can normally be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if you don't complete stage 01 the first day, you can continue the following day. The next stage 02, will unlock at midnight, or once stage 01 is complete, if not completed the first day, stage 03 will unlock at midnight on day 3, and so on upto stage 07, in total you will have 7 x 24 hours = 168 hours to complete all 7 stages.

For example:

Start Sunday @ 7:30 PM the event will end 7 days x 24 hours later, Sunday @ 7:30 PM,

You need to choose the best time for you to start Lions of Leipzig challenge,or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Sunday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 7 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. It will be open for 6 weeks, as the next release is expected May 29th. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

FAQ

How can I service the car when I already finished the day?

If the final car service is missed, after the final event on the day, the soonest it can service is at midnight (local time), when the next stage opens.

When is the last time I can start this Event?

The exact date is unknown, probably 7 days before the release is due to end, so May 22nd, allowing 7 days to run this event.

The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?

FM went though a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?

The Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package is avalable to win if the challenge is cmpleted in 7 days, if you do not comlete the challenge within 7 days the car can be purchased in the Concept Car Clash race series.

Can I buy the car?

The Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package is available in the Concept Car Clash race series in the legend Series. It can be purchased for 700 Icon Gold

What is the minimum PR / upgrades required

This is a copy of the original Lions of Leipzig special event, pre-Generations, there are no recommended PR levels. Slowing the bots works well. Possible upgrade strategies:

Hudl had a 1,000 GC reimbursement from FM, due to the cloud save problems I've been having.
