Stage 1.1 - Brands Hatch, head to head, 1 lap. Beat Zoe. Recommended PR 45.2.

Stage 1.2 - Brands Hatch, cup, 2 laps, rolling start. Overtake an E-Type to win. PR 45.2.

All done with PR 45.2, tilt B, steering/brakes low and TC off

RR3G'hamO. report:

Stage one complete, 1.1 you start on the inside line so was ahead into Paddock Hill Bend slowed near the end to keep small winning margin

1.2 feathered the gas at the start to drop a gear and overtook the E-Type around the point at where I started. Ends as soon as you lap other car

1.3 done a triple counted slide in last corner on 1st lap, tried something dramatic for Paddock Hill which didn't work, dropped to 3rd place no problems getting back into 1st within the same lap again last corner sliding

Whole day done prior to upgrades finishing 45.2, TiltB no assists

Continue to follow methods to slow bots down

Goal 2.1: Cup Circuit de Catalunya – National Circuit & [2 laps] - Set the fastest lap time - Recommended PR 46.9

Racer KCain10r wrote:
No service needed. Not even R$ upgrades, either. Bot slowing possible, just be leading a lap by a good margin to set fastest lap.

Nickgard wrote:
Two lap race. The first lap has a standing start, so bots will set their fastest times on the second lap. Stay in second position or lower on the first lap and you can then win by a small margin and still be all but guaranteed to have the fastest lap.

Goal 2.2: Speed Record, Circuit de Catalunya – National Circuit & [1 lap] - Win - Recommended PR 47.8

Racer KCain10r wrote:
If running with No (R$) upgrades and no service, turn around at start and set record on front straight.

Goal 2.3: Elimination, Circuit de Catalunya – National Circuit - Overtake 10 times and win - Recommended PR 48.6

RR3 Michael P wrote:
Endurance events and Elimination events are particularly good to slow the bot's down for future events, next best are Drag Race events, Autocross events and Speed Snap events, see methods to slow bots down.

Racer KCain10r wrote:
Service needed, if running with no (R$) upgrades. Minimal opportunity to slow bots after overtaking top opponents multiple times.

Goal 2.4: Head To Head, Circuit de Catalunya – National Circuit [1 lap] - Stay within 25 yd (23 m)and place 2nd without overtaking Zoe - Recommended PR 49.5

Racer KCain10r wrote:
Service left over from 2.3 needed. First straight is difficult. May need a few tries to keep up, if running with no (R$) upgrades. Back straight can be a challenge. Avoid pushing Zoe by avoiding bumping her car in the rear.

Reports

Bremm75 report:

Stage 2.1 - Catalunya, cup, 2 laps. Win with the fastest lap time.

Stage 2.2 - Catalunya, speed record. Target 248 kph. I did with an unserviced car.

Stage 2.3 - Catalunya, elimination, rolling start. Win performing 10 overtakes with no damage. Recommended PR 48.6 (I failed trying with 45.2.) After the upgrades rolled out the bots changed. Last in the row was Silva and then switched to Martinez (since bot management failed too.) Tip: I managed overtaking all in a row, then holding the traffic until getting back at the finish line, let them overtaking and overtaking back the 3 bots before the 1st corner. PR 50.2.

Stage 2.4 - Catalunya, head to head, 1 lap. Follow Zoé within 25 yds or 23 m and finish 2nd. After I finished successfully I restarted to do the same but switching roles (trying to do some bot management

RR3G'hamO. report:

Starting upgrades, R$ only, upgraded further for 2.3

Stage 2.1 - Set fastest lap on 1st lap, opponents second lap didn't count to any times once I crossed the finish line they did not have chance to set a time (I won by huge margin bring on the faster bots)

Stage 2.2 my Speed Record target was ~154 mph, went direct around the lap, got final turn wrong so turned around to run into it again, got speed before finish line

Stage 2.3 - Tried a few times with only R$ upgrades could only get to 4th place, placed Icon Gold upgrades on the car, accidentally done brakes upgrade, used adverts to get T&W Body upgrades done 55.x PR (sorry I don't remember the .x waiting on other 3rd stage upgrades) proved much easier with the upgrades, got 11 overtakes in total mostly using the front car to gain them

Stage 2.4 - I pushed Zoe around the circuit stuck on her bumper stayed directly behind her car for every corner to make sure I would not pass

Needed 1122212 PR of 53.2 to win. (0.8 over Recommended!) This is the tent-pole event that forces racers use gold to upgrade and continue. There was a question in my mind if this event required the average speed to be just 'reached' or if the averaged speed was required at the time the race was won. I confirmed that it is required at the end, so there is no opportunity to slow bots, at my level of PR and upgrades.

3.4 done with r$ upgrades only.

So I started 3.4 thinking I'd need to upgrade soon. Thought I'd see how near the target I'd reach with 50.2. end of first lap, was at 174kmph down the start finish straight. Slipped off turn 1, restored, retried.

First at the double rights, turns 7 and 8, after the esses. 173kmph end of lap 1, 2 minutes 1 second.

Only time touched 180 was after 180r. At the chicane, down to 179. On the beginning of the start finish, 178.

Thought, this will be close.

Weaved a bit whilst gunning down the start finish straight, 180 one second before completing the lap.

3:52 total time.

Reports

Bremm75 report:

Stage 3.1 - Suzuka GP, cup, 1 lap, PR 50.6. Win after skidding 3 secs or be no later than 4th skidding 12 secs. Done with PR 50.2

Stage 3.2 - Suzuka GP, speed snap, PR 51.0. Win within 16 secs (target 222.36 kph.) Done 222.73 kph with PR 50.2. Tip: go by the right side, dab the brakes turning left, left side over the zebra, full throtle and keep going.

Stage 3.3 - Suzuka East, endurance, PR 51.7. Win after skidding 10 secs. Done 8.3 km with PR 50.2.

Stage 3.4 - Suzuka GP, cup, 2 laps, PR 52.4. Win with average speed of 112 mph or 180 kph not going off track. Done with PR 51.7 (since 50.2 is nearly impossible due to average speed requirement).

Tilt B, low steering and brakes, TC off.

RR3G'hamO. report:

Starting the day with 57.3 PR, 17 upgrades, combination : 1133333, TiltB no assists

3.1 - had a messy start in first corner got to 1st place half way through the Esses, then concentrated on skidding ignoring where the other cars were, aimed at getting the full 12 and win, done that 12 skids by the time I got through Spoon

3.2 - Target was 137.99 mph, mistake on 1st attempt 2nd try done 145.0 mph had a couple of seconds spare

3.3 - Target 5.0 miles, Smith, slide around during the 1st lap then race to the target, easiest step so far, cloud saving for 3.4

3.4 - Difficult is my single word for this one. Took me a good couple of hours trying and cloud restoring, persistence paid off in the end, lots of Time Trial style track extending and feathering through the Esses, on my winning run it took me to the Hairpin to get 1st place because I was protecting the car from damage had an average of around ~107.5 at end of 1st lap kept it as clean and fast as I could, very close to going off track numerous times got the 112 mph yards before the line, turning early for the left hander of the chicane to get on the power asap

Goal 4.3: Autocross at Melbourne - Win this event (without the Map) - Recommended PR54.5

Goal 4.4: Cup at Melbourne [4 laps] - Win this race before Michael completes 3 laps - Recommended PR55.1

Bremm75 report:

Stage 4.1 - Melbourne, Hunter, PR 53.1. Win with no damage. Done with PR 53.4.

Stage 4.3 - Melbourne, autocross, PR 54.5. Win with no map. Done with PR 53.4. That was close. I did in 28.627 while Santos had 28.889.

Stage 4.4 - Melbourne, cup, 4 laps, PR 55.1. Win against E-Type and XJ220. Done with PR 53.4. Tip: The E-Type takes around 4 min to perform 3 laps. If you finish the 3rd lap within 3min, you may overtake Michael near the finish line. I did in 3'54"383.

ME7 report:

4.1 no problem at 1111111, some could have trouble.

Then I decided to do beyond $R upgrades as I hear day 5 will be trouble.

4.2 at 1122212 was a challange (I paid for 1133313 but they hadn't taken effect yet). I had to turn off brakes and run sideways into walls a few times to fit in 5 times over 138 mph.

4.3 slightly unserviced at 1122212 was tight, but done with low 28's.

4.4 Couldn't do it unserviced at 1122212. Serviced, I decided to spin out the E-type right off the start and hunted down the other 2. I was able to catch the E-type and make him wait until the others caught up so I won by only 12 m.

Thedice79 Report:

Done day 4 with 1122212... Challenges becoming too hard I decided to upgrade from 1111111 considering coupe de grace... Waiting tomorrow for 1133313 for the final day.

After you get the message that your last opponent has been eliminated you must maintain/reach the required average speed and stay on track until the "Goal Achieved" message appears. Unless you are careful failure can occur in that brief interval between the elimination of your final opponent and getting the "Goal Achieved" message.

At least with my setup, PR 56.2 Upgrades 1133313 No assists, Tilt B, Sensitivity 10 for all goals.

Reports

ME7 report:

IN THE GARAGE!! 1133313 for upgrades.

5.1 was easy. On my first three attempts I was trying too hard to make ground fast. On my fourth attempt I took the first corner on the outside and that was cleaner. I actually forgot that I had to win with a 110 yard lead until halfway through the last lap. At that point I was catching lapped cars and actually hit the brakes near the finish line because I had a lead of 250 yards. I ran Tilt B, steering high, TC off, brakes low.

5.2 very easy, it's pretty straightforward. Tilt A, steering high, TC on, brakes low.

5.3 was pretty easy once I realized I just needed to calm down. Not that hard to get to the lead by the second turn. Then you can do a combination of drifting and blocking. There's some nice wide corners were you can drift without worrying about going off track. I used the same setup as I did on 5.1.

5.4 no trouble at all, 1st try. Same setup as 5.1. I don't know how long it took, I got 120.59mph.

5.5 also no trouble, first try. Same setup as 5.1. The overheating thing never came into play for me. I ran Tilt B and rolled through the corners a tad more than usual.

I still find this car a little slick but I have to agree with what others have said. This thing is a lot of fun to drift with! All in all a nice event with no big glitches.

Gizm0h report:

For those not on stage 5 yet. I can confirm that it is possible to win this with a PR below 55. I decided to go for it with a PR of 54.4 and was relatively easy. I had to put myself in "race" mode and really focus--but in the end, wasnt really that bad. I thought for sure the speed snap would get me but I nailed it the first try. However, I have been practicing that particular section heavily the past week. Im thinking my different choice in upgrades than many here have contributed to this stage to be won with a lower PR. The extra acceleration/speed combined with more braking power really helped I think. Something to consider in future events. I can upload some screenshots later, but for now here is what I completed with. Good luck to all on Stage 5!

Upgrades: 1311133 -- PR: 54.4

Assists: All OFF except for LOW steering.

RR3 Michael P Report for Stage 5

Device: NOX PC Emulator for Android (my 2nd device)

Pre-challenge: R$38,874,300 — 2,396 Icon Gold — 158/160 Cars — Level 237

Car: Jaguar F-Type SVR PR56.2 15/27

Controls: Buttons, Steering high, Brakes low and TC on, Steering Sensitivity 1. Online

Level 237 I currently run the WTTT, I am regularly in group B. on my top device.

  • 5.1 1st 2:04 v 2:08 Williams, Zoé was 3rd, reached 1st on lap 2 and pulled a small lead, braked approaching the line to reduce the lead, recommended PR55.8,used 5 bar of damage
  • 5.2 1st v Z. Calvo [Zoé], this took quite a few tries, I finished with on off track once, but was just under 108 mph, final run I managed to get the lead, without any contact, just made the average speed, recommended PR 56.5, used 7 bar of damage
  • 5.3 1st 2:09 v 2:10 Williams, I turned TC off on this one, quite tricky, keeping on track and skidding, on such a short track, probably took 5 or 6 attempts before nailing it. Recommended PR 57.2, used 5 bar of damage, 6 red remaining.
  • 5.4 1st Time v Bot time
  1. 4th 116.14 v 1st 117.9 mph Z. Calvo [Zoé], used 2 bar, 4 red remaining, serviced and watched videos
  2. 118.32 v 117.95 mph Z. Calvo [Zoé], slow in and fast out, worked well, TC still off, recommended PR 57.9, used 2 bar of damage
  • 5.5 1st 3:24.7 v 3:26.2 Z.Calvo [Zoé], this was more tricky for me, as I play with buttons, on a keyboard, so lifting and coasting, to cool the engine, involved switching controls from buttons to Wheel B, coasting, pausing and switching controls back so I can drive around the corner, without going off track! I lost track of how many attempts I made :( My fastest lap was 1:40.3 v 1:43.2, so I had no problem catching Zoé, it was more of a technical challenge for me! Once I passed Zoé I could brake in-front of her, and lower the temperature. Recommended PR 57.9, used all bar of damage, serviced.

Reward R$35,000, 20 Icon Gold and the Jaguar F-Type SVR

Post Challenge: R$38,944,930 — 2,416 Icon Gold — 159/160 Cars — Level 237

Sirebel report:

So day 5 was easy, with PR 56.4 and Titl B, if a little frustrating. In the end I turned low assists and TC on (apart from 5.3) as the no off track was annoying me and this car does like to slide.

5.1 Took a couple of goes to get used to the track and car but again this car likes to brake hard and accelerates really well

5.2 Get a good speed at the start, get in front and just drive cleanly. When the last clock starts ticking just hold a straight line and power on if you can. Took a couple of trys

5.3 Get in front, build up a lead and then turn TC off and have some fun. I failed a few times so found the wider parts of the track to slide about on.

5.4 Was too tired at this point so serviced and did it this morning. Trick is to get the last left hander right, don't go to fast and line up a straight line to the finish flag so you can power up the hill.

5.5 This wasn't difficult at all, power down the straights, lift for the corners, brake late, power on at the apex. I won't say I won by a huge margin but a wins a win right?

I have successfully restored my cloud save to my ipad which has been in flight safe mode since Friday morning. It is now back in flight safe mode with Coupe de Grace unlocked. Once the jaguar has finished servicing I will start that series and see how it goes.

Start / End Strategy

The player has # days to complete the 5 stages, the event is 5 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 5 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can continue the following day. The next stage 02, will unlock at midnight providing stage 01 is completed, stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 5, in total there will be 5 x 24 hours = 120 hours to complete all stages.

For example:

Start Wednesday @ 7:30 PM the event will end 5 days x 24 hours later, Monday @ 7:30 PM,

You need to choose the best time for you to start Jaguar Legacy: F-Type SVR event, or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, Wed 31st, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Tuesday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 5 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there maybe a short time to start this event! It maybe only open to start for <1 week, as the next release is expected Saturday September 10th, so starting next Tuesday is unlikely. Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?

FM went though a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?

The Jaguar F-Type SVR is available to win, if the challenge is completed in 5 days, after September 5th. the Jaguar F-Type SVR can be purchased.

Can I buy the car?

The Jaguar F-Type SVR can be acquired for 400 Icon Gold or 320 Icon Gold with showcase discount.

For more details see Jaguar F-Type SVR

What is the minimum PR / upgrades required

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race):
Since Generations, if the players car is far below the recommended PR level the bots run impossible times. Once the car is upgraded the bots return to normal times. Slowing the bots works, only when the PR requirements are close. Some goals have fixed top bots. Possible upgrade strategies:

5.1 and 5.5 will be very hard though.

Footnotes

  1. The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.

The best time to start is late in the day local time, as the next stage opens at midnight local time.

If the event is started 11PM Fri Sept 2nd (local time), the event can be completed 5x24 hours later, 11PM Wed Sept 7th. Allowing almost two full days to complete the last stage.
