Instead of braking, lift off the accelerator and coast, allow ~double the distance from the normal braking point, carry extra speed through the corners. It's the same as racing with limited fuel, flat out down straights and lift off early, only brake as a last resort.

Reports

HV2308 report: (lvl. 243, no assists, timetrial D, R$ upgrades only 111111)

5.1: No problems. No need to finish higher than 5th so don't, it might increase botlevel later on. Once in 5th, slow down the bots behind.

5.2: most difficult one of the day. Took me a lot of tries, but it's good practice and you know you'll get it in the end. Clean overtakes and early accelaration out of the corners are key. Stick to the inside line. Leftturn after the 1st straight in 14-15th, chicane after that in 11-12th, 5th after lap 1 and you should be OK. Break a bit before the corner, then let it run or accelarate a bit to come alongside a car and brush it out of the way. Use the car in front to break against by hitting it side on. Avoid bumping the back, it slows you down too much to be able to catch 1st.

5.3: If you made 5.2, the rest of the challenges are pretty easy. Neat drive in 5.3 without taking too many risks should get you round the lap with a few seconds to spare. Slowed down at the finish and let the clock run down to 1.12.9.

5.4: Reached 83 mph after lap 1, 88-89 mph after lap 2 without having to do anything fancy. Plenty of laps so no need to rush the overtakes.

5.5: pretty straightforward, can be done with an unserviced car. Concentrate on getting into 2nd before lifting and cruising. Energy level not really a problem if you lift & cruise instead of breaking, like in earlier practice events. Once in second, drive defensively and block upcoming bots to keep the time as slow as possible. No need to win so don't, it may increase botlevels later on.

Serviced and upgraded to 333333 after stage 5. Level 3 upgrades take 8 hours. Even if stage 6 COULD be done with R$ upgrades only, my bet is R$-only definitely won't get you to the end. Hope 333333 will be enough.

Very easy again, after first corner, accelerate till goal without doubt. If you reach speed snap target goal, you'll reach average speed goal.

Very easy again, you can reach target speed after first corner and then, you can save battery, if you want...

  • 6.5 Cup with limited battery (3 laps)

It should be very easy, my PR is much more higher than recommended PR, but it took me about 8 or 10 tries... Why? My problem was circuit brake points and overtake points... Once I located them, event became easy, I overtook last car in last corner and crossed finish line with no battery, but in first place.

HV2308 (Level 243, timetrial D, no assists, tilt B, PR 333333)

Upgraded to 333333 after yesterday's stages and had to redo several of the first 4 events because of winning by too large a margin. PR38-40 should be enough for 6.1-6.4.

6.5 proved my biggest challenge so far. Tips:

-concentrate on getting to 1st place, not on the battery. No point in saving battery and not winning.

-if you drive cleanly, not hitting barriers, the battery should get you round the 3 laps.

-not hitting barriers is key, slows you down immensely and takes a lot of battery to make up lost ground, causing you to probably run out towards the end of lap 3.

-passing by bumping the car in front just before a hairpin, causing him to spin wide, worked well for me. Keep the inside lines, except maybe on the long lefthander before start-finish.

-if you're looking where to start lifting & coasting: the yellow stripes on the tarmac about 100yds before the corners on the first two straights are a pretty decent marker.

You should get through all events without needing to service.

Easier day than day 5 & 6. 7.1-7.4 pretty straightforward. Try not to win by too big a margin to avoid bot levels going up & Hold up the bots once in 1st

7.2 Did some big skids in the first few corners. When done at speed they usually count for 2 or 3. Weave the steering just in case. Had plenty of time to catch the hunter car aferwards. Won by 8 yds 143-135 yds.

7.3 Rolling start, passing a procession of Silvias. You are allowed off track but there is plenty of room to pass half of them in turn one and the others pretty quickly after. Brushed the leading car on the side and it was OK.

7.4 Standing start. Note you have to reach 100MPH crossing the starting line too, which could be a problem with a low PR car. During the race it's no problem (120-140MPH). Won in 3m42s. If you want to do stage 7 in one run, this is the one in which to use the mechanic.

7.5 Finish as close to 46secs as you can. Remember you have to beat your time in 7.6!!. Got to 45.97 secs with the car -12MPH in red.

7.6 Serviced, no problems beating the time after that.

8.1 - Easy. Just feather / tap your way around the track. Brush a wall if you need to slow down a bit, that way you can carry more speed. Don't hit them too hard though.

8.2. Easy. Coast towards the righthander before the straight, hit the throttle as you enter the bend and you should be able to go flat out to the finishline. Hug the inside of the long lefthander to avoid sliding into the wall on the right or just lift a fraction of a second. You can afford to manage the speed to finish around 117MPH. Doing 120MPH is easily possible but might create faster bots later.

1 bar of damage after 2 events.

8.3 Getting to 5th not too much of a problem, neither is 72 MPH average. Drive cleanly, no need to take too much risks. Watch the 125MPH on the start-finish straight and (especially) the long straight after that. Had to finish 4th (pretty close to 3rd) to keep up the 72MPH average.

7 bars of damage after this one.

8.4 Distance for 1st 5.5 miles, but you only need 4th = 4.2 miles. Not easy as you only get 6secs for crossing start finish and the cars to overtake dry up around 2.5 miles. There were two bunches of two cars just as I was hitting the red around 3.5 miles. Once I made it past those 4 I had time to spare. Stopped after passing 4.2 miles.

8.5. One of those that start hard, but get easier as you practice more. Good for getting to know the track inside out and the car. Keep it easy and smooth, don't skid out of the bends or hit the walls by being to impatient or eager. Look for the openings to pass, accelarate into the gaps. Breaking late and pushing the car in front to the outside of the hairpin always works. Battery not really an issue if you lift & coast now and then, but you can be pretty agressive on the throttle. Backmarkers come into play on the final lap and really hold up the leaders, so don't give up even if you are 4th-5th. 2nd and 1st are close together too.

Serviced, waiting to do 8.6. Looking at the comments, that should be "interesting". Tried it unserviced but couldn't manage more than 5th.

8.6 Most difficult one so far, took me ages. Didn't think it was possible the first 5-10 tries. Bots too fast, own car too slow, driving skills not good enough etc. But believe it or not, it's one where you gradually make progress. Learn as you go along.

Break in time and try not to hit other cars, to keep your speed up is the general advice.

In the beginning I was too eager, skidding, bumping, overshooting corners and hitting barriers because I thought I needed to go much quicker. But the cleaner you race, the better.

Overtake 8th in the righthander straight when the lights go green, go full throttle and you should pass 7th in the long left hander towards start finish and 6th before the hairpin. The chicane after the second straight is always a good place to pass, as are the inside of hairpins. As others have mentioned in their comments: early on the brakes / lift & coast in time for the corners (the yellow stripes on the road are a good marker where to start) & early on the throttle, around halfway through the corner.

If 8.6 is anything to go by, not looking forward to stage 9 ...

HV2308

8.6 recomended PR 46,3, with 51,2 tryed alreedy 7 times and no succes, always strand @ the tail from Zoe... succeeded at last after 12 attemps by pushing Zoe out in the ultimate turn.

Only 9.6 really a problem today. Skipped that one after multiple tries. The last few days continuously doing challenges that with the configurtion of my car & my driving skillis could only be reached with a perfect race ... just couldn't be bothered anymore. No fun, no motivation, no concentration.

The 'no damage' races are very unclear. One time you can smash a car or a wall and carry on, another time you brush a car in front and you get red flagged. In general, you can get away with much more than say in a Gauntlet, where every touch is fatal.

As usual, it's easiest to pass as many cars you can in the first half lap. If you fail a few times, bumping a car infront, I would recommend restarting and hoping for a clean run, rather than trying to make up lost time.

9.1. Easy. You only need to finish in 2.10, no matter what place you are in. Pass a lot of cars on the inside (right) towards the first hairpin and drive a clean race, should be no problem.

9.2. Apparently it doesn't matter what you do here (see other comments) you will pass anyway. In that case quit when the lights go green to save damage bars.. I made it to 7th pretty easily.

9.3 Had to do a few retries but not too much of a problem compared to 6.5, 8.6 etc. Try to overtake as many cars cleanly in the beginning (first half lap) as you can. After that it gets more difficult. Did 9.1-9.3 straight after midnight, serviced.

9.4 Quickie. You have to beat the quickest opponents, but the race 'with everything allowed' wasn't too difficult.

9.5 Quickie. Not too much of a problem. You can reach 140 MPH on the two long straights. If needed, accelarating, going straight on in the hairpin, smashing into the wall and recovering quickly will even keep you ahead of the followers. Normally, you will have plenty of time to brake and get through the corners. Overtaking to get to 3rd not too difficult.

9.6 Rolling start. Had no problem passing the first couple of cars, couldn't get higher than 5th or 4th. Would have made it in time probably, couldn't be bothered. Tried adding one speed upgrade for 120 golds, but wouldn't have had the time to do the 2 R$ upgrades after that one. Made a bit of difference but not a lot. Skipped for 70 golds and discovered 9.7 was pretty easy, so stuck with that option.

9.7 Not really a problem with 333333. Start in 3rd, pass second in the first hairpin and stay close to Zoey. From the chicane (turn 3-4) on the final lap 3, she gets held up by a backmarker. Plenty of opportunity to gain 150 yds if necessary, and pass in the double left hander about three-quarters in the round.

What is the minimum PR / upgrades required[]

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race):
Since Generations, if the players car is far below the recommended PR level the bots run impossible times. Once the car is upgraded the bots return to normal times. Slowing the bots works, only when the PR requirements are close. Some goals have fixed top bots. Possible upgrade strategies:

No. Description Upgrade R$ Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted
1 Upgrade the car with R$ and pay (30/40/50 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted) to skip impossible goals 111111 421,300 ~0-300+
2 Upgrade the car with R$ then buy Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted upgrades as the PR increases All Level 3 1,369,600 263
3 Upgrade the car until PR53 is reached. Possibly for Formula E: Showcase -2 Suspension & -2 Tires & Wheels
635353
3,044,300 553
4 Upgrade the car until PR56 is reached. Possibly for Formula E: Experience -2 Suspension
635355
3,381,100 648
5 Fully upgrade the car Fully Upgraded 3,748,200 753

RR3 Michael P completed the event with no skips, upgraded PR51.2 21/29 633333, costing R$2,445,500 and 383 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted, I received +277 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted from daily rewards (including Elite bonus), no daily adverts, +100 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted from completing the event.
