RR3 Wiki:Tips and FAQ for Federated Auto Parts 400

The intention of this page is to keep tips and FAQ for Federated Auto Parts 400 in one place, which will hopefully help people race this event.

DescriptionEdit

Federated Auto Parts 400 was an event held from 31st August to 27-September-2015 which gave players an initial choice from 4 cars, Chevrolet SS (Hendrick Motorsports - 2015), Chevrolet SS (Stewart-Haas Racing - 2015), Ford Fusion (Team Penske - 2015) and TOYOTA Camry (Joe Gibbs Racing - 2015) to complete the 7 stages of the event. Each stage was unlocked the next day. If the player finished all of the stages, they could keep the car that the player chose with all modifications and upgrades. This included any damage caused, so the player still had to pay to get it repaired!

Tips and FAQ HistoryEdit

This is the fourth iteration of a tips and FAQ page:

Each time the tips have improved. Unfortunately due to the way forum posts and blogs work, only the originator RR3 Michael P or Guillejarque can edit the first entry. With Tips and FAQ for Road To Le Mans anyone can edit this page, hopefully this will lead to many more editors adding useful content for everyone’s benefit.

General TipsEdit

StrategyEdit

Real racing 3 is a massive game designed my FireMonkey (FM) to make you want to spend real money on R$ and Icon Gold. Many in this Wikia community have posted comments what they have managed to reach the end of the game without spending any real money. The bottle neck currency is Icon Gold. Read this article on strategy for more information:

  • Strategy - Including why gold is precious.

Time Shifted Multiplayer (TSM)Edit

Read the following about how the time shifted multiplayer affects the AI of the bots, why it's important to win by small margins and how to slow bots down:

Methods to slow bots downEdit

Track Recommended method to slow bots Damage Taken
Autocross Each time you run an Autocross event, set a slow time of of 4th or less, either retry or continue and re-enter. If you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race, you will notice, after each time of running, the target time is increased. If continuing doesn't increase the bot's time try repeating and vice a versa.

Do not set a low time at the line, tilt B will give better control to coast before the line, if you are too quick or brake and wait at the line, smashing the time will increase the AI.
Minimal
Cup/

NASCAR

As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter, if you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race. Also ignore the bots times on the final screen too, they are based on an average lap time, as you quit their times are based on a standing start, as an average. Instead use the times as a guide, with each retry or continue the bots times should increase. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's time try repeating and vice a versa.

OR If you have a broken car run the race a few times, each time you lose you will still get R$ and Fame, place 4th or less, repeating or continuing and re-entering will lower the bot's.

Once ready to go, get to 1st place as quickly as possible and try to slow the bot's down, either spin them out or park in sharp bends / chicanes and stop them passing. By setting a low time, but still coming first, it's still possible to still lower the AI of bots, think about a Time Trial time, if you set a set a slow time it lowers the AI.

Minimal /None.
Drag Race Start the race, press go and leave the car is first gear, do not click repeat, as this will repeat the current race, against the same bot, instead choose continue, then either retry or continue and re-enter. You will see the opponents will change to lower ones.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a fast time, instead use the gears to slow the car, once passed the bot go up through the gears, but watch the bot doesn't speed up / close the gap, or if close to the line go down a gear to brake.
Minimal
Elimination Elimination events are one of the best opportunities to lower the bots AI, deliberately lose a few times, do not move at the start (Tilt B), wait for the 20 second timer to run out, then repeat or continue and re-enter. You will see the opponent will change to lower ones. If you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race.

Once ready to go, get to first place and slow the bots as per the cup event.
None
Endurance Endurance events are one of the best opportunities to lower the bots AI deliberately lose a few times, change the controls to Tilt B, when the lights go green do not move, wait for the timer to count down the 60 seconds. Either retry or continue and re-enter. If you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race. Note the distance is reducing each time. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's distance try repeating and vice a versa. It's possible to get all 7 bots distance to 1.0mi.

Another point, the online and offline bots can wildly vary on Endurance races, especially with fiends distance'. It's normally much better to race Endurance races offline, before going to the Endurance event go offline (aeroplane mode), if you've already started an Endurance race online, exit back to the main menu, if your logged into FB / G+ / Weibo, goto settings and logout, then force close, go offline and relaunch RR3, bots should now be offline ones.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a good distance, instead once passed the 1st marker, park up (tilt B) and wait for the timer to count down.
None
Head To Head As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter. Repeat multiple times, ignore the bot's time on the final screen, it is based on an average lap time, you can use it as a guide that the bot's time is reducing.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a good time, instead once in 1st place, use the same technique as cup events, slow the bot down. Quite often a single bot will not push you once stopped, so you can easily hold it up for 20 seconds, then go for it. Wait at the line to reduced the time set, but still win.
1 lap of damage /None
Hunter As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter, repeat multiple times, each time you repeat the distance to the 1st place will increase.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a good distance, instead once passed the 1st place marker, slow down and maintain a small distance advantage ahead, when near the line slow to reduce the distance, but still win. It's also possible to spin out the NISSAN SILVIA (S15) to reach 1st, but be careful not to set a top distance. Final point, the NISSAN SILVIA (S15) can be on a different section as track from you, e.g. If 1st place marker is 1,000 yds behind. The NISSAN SILVIA (S15) could be going flat out down a straight while you’re in a hairpin or chicane, so the 1st place marker is going 1,000 yds behind the NISSAN SILVIA (S15), but travels at the same speed so doesn't slow for the chicane! The worst tracks have chicanes before the finish line, like Spa or Le Mans, learn from any losses, track knowledge will help in future events, sometimes waiting by the line is better, but be aware your stopped and 1st place marker could be going 120 MPH.
1 lap of damage /None
Time Trial Set a slow time, in a race series this event's cup does not count towards continuing your race career (i.e. it does not unlock the next race series). However it does count towards completing 100% of the race series.

Running a time trial with a broken car will therefore take no damage and lower the AI of bots.

Note: If you play against friends do not be tempted to upgrade your car and set faster times, as this will increase the AI of bots, you could always do this once you've bought all cars :)
1 lap of damage /None
Speed Record As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter. Note the bot's time is reducing. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's speed try repeating and vice a versa.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a high top speed, brake as soon as you hit 1st place's speed.

If your still struggling to reach first place, the start finish straight is normally the longest straight, you can do a U turn and drive the wrong way around the track, so once around the last turn, do another U turn, and blast down the straight, with all assists off, it doesn't matter if you fly off track at turn one. If the start/finish straight isn't the longest you can still use the no assists method to hit the top speed, again it doesn't matter if you fly off track. However once you reach 1st place brake, so you don't increase the AI of bots. In special events challenges there is quite often a no off track clause to stop this technique, forcing you to upgrade to hit the required speed.
Minimal /None
Speed Snap Speed Snaps are the same "parts of tracks" as Autocross, except you must hit a top speed at the line so set a top speed of 4th or less, the lower the better, then either retry or continue and re-enter. Note the top speed's are reducing each time. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's speed try repeating and vice a versa.

Once ready to go, do not set a high top speed at the line, tilt B will give better control to feather the throttle once at the 1st place' speed, this takes a bit of practice, smashing the top speed will increase the AI.

First carEdit

Similar to Le Mans - Pursuit of Victory, there was three cars to choose from, in Federated Auto Parts 400 there are four cars. The first car can be won if the event is completed in 7 days.

You have 7 days to complete the 07 stages, the event is 7 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time you start it, the last stage will end 7 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if you don't complete stage 01 the first day, you can continue the following day. The next stage 02, will unlock at midnight, or once stage 01 is complete, if not completed the first day, stage 03 will unlock at midnight on day 3, and so on upto stage 07, in total there will be 7 x 24 hours = 168 hours to complete all 7 stages..

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th cars is the same as the first, 7 days to complete the 7 stages. An end date of 21st or 28th September, has been banded, so this sounds feasible. If this is true it's possible to start the first car on Sunday 6th, finish the first car Sat 12th. Start the 2nd car the 12th Sept car, and finish in 7 days, Fri 18th. Start the 3rd car 18th Sept, finish within 7 days, 4th car can be started around 24th Sept, and still have some room. If the last entry date is the 28th (27th for 1 days advantage) the last day to start the challenge for the first car is Wed 9th.

With a 4 hour service time a cloud save before each race, try and run a clean race, slowing the bots down, any failures do a cloud restore and try again. Cloud save after every win.

Cloud Save / RestoreEdit

See the Firemonkeys website for full details on cloud save:

Firemonkeys.com.au Cloud Save FAQ

Firemonkey wrote:
Real Racing 3 automatically uploads your save data to the Cloud Servers once every 12 Hours. This means that if you have lost your save data, you can easily restore your

previous game progress (including your purchases) and also transfer this save data between devices using the Cloud Save feature.

During events you can use the Cloud Save and Restore feature to your advantage.

Before you start every event, manually do a Cloud Save, if you lose do a cloud restore, this will save a 3 hour service after the longer, endurance / cup events.

Once you win do another cloud save before you continue the next event, see the FAQ on Firemonkey's website:

It is very important to wait for the screen to display last updated seconds (or minutes) ago. If you have a message stating backup failed, wait another minute, a wheel will turn in the bottom right corner, the message will show last updated seconds (or minutes) ago and Backup to Cloud button will be greyed out too.

If backup still failed, return to the login screen, log off, wait 10 seconds and log on once more, click continue, wait 30 seconds for the login to complete, then try to backup once more.

If you still have problems: log off, then turn aeroplane mode on, wait 10 seconds, turn aeroplane mode off, wait 30 seconds for the wifi to reconnect, login, click continue, wait 30 seconds for the login to complete, then try to backup once more.

The final thing to try, force close the RR3 app, then with the Wifi on, relaunch RR3, then try to backup once more. If this still doesn't work, the FM server is probably having problems, again.

You can also use this technique to save on spending with gold, for example if you want to spend 1 gold on the mechanic, if you win, the mechanic will be used and the car condition will be maintained, but if you don't come first the gold is lost and the car condition will be reduced, if you cloud restore the car will be returned to it previous state and the gold spend (or even free mechanic) returned.

Note: Before you cloud restore, it is important to login into the same Social Profiles you had previously connected to Real Racing, when cloud saving. Especially if multiple Social Profiles are used!

FAQEdit

Car ServiceEdit

How can I service the car when I already finished the day?

If you missed servicing your car after the final event on the day, the soonest you can service the car is at midnight.

The Target is too High, How do I Reduce it?Edit

When the speed or time or distance is too high or fast or long, there are several things that can be done to reduce the target

Make sure you cloud save before you start and after a handful of failed attempts try a cloud restore and retry the next method. Sometimes the AI is still reduced after the restore.

  • Try offline - if you've been online, you must do a force close too.
  • Try online - sometimes the AI target is different.
  • Try repeat, repeat , repeat, again lose by a big margin, don't come higher than 4th.
  • Try loosing by a big margin, but don't retry, instead complete and then re-enter the race - this takes more time but works.

Sorry this takes so much time, but the AI will reduce. With a cloud restore it's quicker than a long service!

For example, I tried 11 times to reach 1st place:

The Game / Le Mans Keeps crashingEdit

  • If you are having problems loading Le-Mans: Le Mans is the biggest data track to load, close the game, go off line (aeroplane mode), try a complete showdown (hold the power for 10 seconds, I think), then start back up, launch the game and turn the Heads-up Display (HUD) off. This helps on my Hudl.
I read a post suggesting using the RR3 Graphics app (AKA RR3 GFX) available from the Google Play Store, (then automatically updating it from their website). The poster advised Le Mans used to crash, but when the graphics is set low, using this app, it loads and plays fine. Anyway, it doesn't seem to be any race in Le Mans during Road To Le Mans.

When is the last time I can start this Event?Edit

RR3 Michael P Wrote:
No one knows, the speculation is the end date is 21st or 28th , 7 days to complete the 1st car, 7 days for cars 2 to 4, so 25 days (the start day for car 2,3&4 can overlap the end day), if the end date is the 21st, it's too late to get all four cars! For an end date of 28th, the 4th car must be started by 27th (1 day advantage)- 19 days for cars 1 to 3, puts a start date of Wed 9th.

Personally I'm starting the fist car late on Sunday 6th to have the following weekend to win it. Then start the next one straight away.

RR3 Michael P Wrote:
Update 20-Sep: The countdown to end the event has now started, it maybe 27th or 28th, as there are days remaining a rounding factor is included, aim for before 27th just in case. When the countdown changes to hours remaining, we will know more.

As long as the last car is started the event can be run, if the last car isn't started the event will close to start, there will probably be a countdown to the next event Asterion's Charge which starts 5-Oct.

Will this event be added to the race series?Edit

My best guess is The 500 will be the next one to be added to the series, I don't know for sure, but there is a pattern to challenges being added to the series. Have a look at the the special events at the bottom of RR3 Wiki:Most Profitable Races Special Events and compare how many have been added to the Series and Special Events to see for yourself.

It maybe months before this event is added to a series, again this is a fairly recent pattern from FM of added past events to series, after three to six months.

Will the car be available to win in the future?Edit

RR3 Michael P wrote:
The cars are available to win, if the challenge is completed in 7 days, if the car is not won within 7 days in can be purchased. NASCAR is a new addition to the Real Racing 3 game, so there is no history of these events and no clue to how they will be incorporated into the racing career.

Can I buy the car?Edit

LussoBerlinetta wrote:
According to one time traveller from another site, 750 Icon Gold. All of NASCAR cars series final tiers require PR 58.0, which means you'll need at least 2,500 Icon Gold for 4 cars to get 100% of the series. What a joke. .

If you start to play the event, all upgrades, customizations and VIP will remain on the car permanently, whether you acquire it from this event or buy it later.
— In-game description.

What is the minimum PR / upgrades requiredEdit

RR3 Michael P wrote: (pre-event tip)
My recommendation is to start the upgrades as soon as the challenge start as they take 2 hours, there is no need to wait for them to complete before doing the events. As soon as level 1 upgrades are complete start level 2 upgrades. Normally only R$ upgrades are required, as long as you slow the bots (see Time Shifted Multiplayer and Methods to slow bots down)

RomGuyony wrote:
I did it on two different devices, one with no upgrades, one with all R$ upgrades and found the experience similar. The only real difference is during the turns for rolling starts, the least upgraded your car is, the more you car will brake before the green light shines, therefore the more time you lose from your starting position.

198.240.130.75 wrote:
Finished all 7 stages (no skipping) without doing any upgrades (since they were so expensive). I thought it wouldn't be possible to do, but surprisingly the slowing down of bots (retire, retry) was very effective.

Now I have the Steward-Hass Chevy SS in my garage!

J0HND03 wrote:

I very much doubt that. Slowing down the bots will allow you to win every race without any upgrades except for stage 4.1, as you will neither manage to complete the first lap under 54s nor reach an average speed of 160 mph / 257 kmph if you don't have at least a few R$-upgrades installed. Therefore you'll have to skip it for 20 Gold.

Guillejarque wrote:

Don't upgrade. Don't skip. Just slow down the bots.

RR3 Michael P wrote:
I can confirm 4.1 can be completed with no upgrades, I managed 51.9, I even braked before the line to slow down and win by a smaller margin. Assists: Brakes and TC off, Steering High.

93.93.62.25 asked:
Any tips for Stage 03 task 4? Can not get enough yards of draft, tried everything, still can not get more than 200-400 yards...

Sirebel Reply:
The start/finish straight and the "back straight" just before the gentle left and then chicane onto the start/finish straight are both more than 1000 yards long. Race forward to build up enough time and then hang back behind a car at the start of these straights. I found being a little left of the car in front helps to find the slipstream on this circuit for some reason.

Stage 3 completed with only cash upgrades and no bot slowing. I'm having too much fun slipstreaming the lead car around and overtaking them just before the finish line. Way more fun than these cars and tracks would be otherwise.

I may lose the will to live having to do this series 4 times for all the cars. At least car 2-4 can be done quicker.

RR3SeanR Wrote:
3.4 - "draft" distance is cumulative (ie you don't need to do it in one stretch) and definitely possible to win with completely degraded car. However with completely degraded car you won't be able to get much of a draft on the straights - so you have to use what I believe they call a "bump draft" - basically just ram up the back of the cars in front of you (rather than trying to overtake them straight away).

I had a distance of 4.2miles to beat - which is just over a lap - got the 1000 yards in the first lap and still had about 10 seconds to spare crossing the line - which gave me more than enough to reach the 4.2miles.

Stage 04Edit

Tips about Federated Auto Parts 400 Stage 04:

Continue to follow methods to slow bots down

Vamsi P: first event was easy go with manual braking and will get in 50 secs approx slow down at end, fourth one is also pretty straight forward and with pedal to metal heating was not even half, but dont get struck in car piles. 2,3,5 r drafting. 2 is draft continuously and I achieved it in final part racing to finish line, or sim guy was fast to catch and draft in second straight if close then do it in there also a little to right or left will also count as draft. In 3 I raced ahead to first place and waited for my partner to catch up and he overtook opponent and me also and I just followed him. In 5 with unserviced car should do lot of drafting, my car unserviced lagged others in top speed so i overtook few cars at beginning and then followed other cars in straights and overtook a pile of them in corners. like that in fourth lap i got to second place and spent sometime behind leader and finished drafting and won in last corner dash.

Event 4.1: NASCAR at Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Speedway [1/2 laps] - Complete the first lap under 54s OR finish with an average speed of 160 mph (257 kmph)

Event 4.3: NASCAR at Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Speedway [1 lap] - End the lap with your drafting partner in a 1-2 finish

... I just blocked / ram-out patrick... and my teammate just got in the lead! ( i may finished at 2nd place but finish the 4.3 event :)

Event 4.4: NASCAR at Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Speedway [3 laps] - Win this event (with overheating issues)

93.136.36.181 asked:
I cant win 4.4 - I hardly overtake two cars and in the first straight the engine blows up :-(

Answer: Don't ride behind any car, Your engine won't overheats.

50.137.245.68 reply:
The AI slows down in the turns, run behind a car to get momentum during the second half of a straightaway to pass them in the corner and get clean air to cool off.

Edit to my response: The engine only overheats if you run right behind a car, I ran the race full throttle and nothing happened.

195.197.255.6 wrote:
What upgrades needed to complete 4.4?

MELR2 answer:
I did it with only R$

Mnpirates answer:
Really depends on the AI. I had all availble R$ upgrades+2 Gold upgrades+2 R$ upgrades that was unlocked following the Gold upgrades. If you can maintain a speed of 190+MPH in the turns, you should be able to pass them. The engine only overheats if you follow another car, don't stay in the draft for too long.

Sirebel answer:
Perfectly doable with just R$ upgrades as long as you haven't wound the bots up too high. I don't degrade the bots, just don't win by more than I have to.

Event 4.5: NASCAR at Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Speedway [5 laps] - Accumulate a total of 19,150 yd (17,511 m) of drafting and win this - Win this event

Sirebel wrote:
4.5 was slightly harder as I needed to keep the draft on the lead car to get the tow to overtake him. Wasn't easy on a high speed train :-)

Leckie337 Wrote:
4.5 finished with ease. I've kept the bots slow by failing every autocross, speed record, speed snap and drag race 4 times intentionally before winning. All races that are won I make sure that I just only just win (less than 100 yards if possible). No real challenges as yet and I have all R$ upgrade and no GC. Was in front by the end of lap 2 even starting the race with no service at all. IOS devices seem to work fine.

Stage 05Edit

Tips about Federated Auto Parts 400 Stage 05:

Continue to follow methods to slow bots down

Vamsi P . stage 5 completed in one service. 1st was with degraded tyres and stayed last till end of lap 1 and when tyres took up it was easy and was 20 pos in penultimate lap and cruised to end. 2 &3 were pretty straight forward and did them easily. In 4th partially serviced came 12th or so did cloud restore and start, pause retire and here retry didnt do it but had to continue and exit and re enter race to slow down timer and did it after 7 or 8 retires very easily. Hint is dont crash into others and even braking behind them will slow down momentum when others r in full throttle so avoid all and can do it. In 4.5 pause retire retry slowed them down, but here that didnt work so pressed cont. and entered again. in 5th with unserviced car, just dont hit others and follow others in straight and overtake in corners. hint is dont crash and lose momentum.

Start the race and retire after crossing the start line. Repeat the operation ten times or what you need. You will see that leader's time is worse each time (that time is not exact, but indicates that they are slower). Then race with no break assist in the two first laps, then low break assit. I did it and finished in 18 position in 2 minutes. I have 11 upgrades (no gold upgrades).

I serviced the car 2x, so I made about 8 runs, improving finishing possition each time. Won easily after the 2nd service, with a small finish line wait in the end, and time of 1.29 mins.

Didn't really have to draft too much either, just kept the nose clean on the inside.

5.5 if the bots are slow your position for the start of the race drops to the back of the pack. So no way to make it easy and you have to 1) run a miraculously perfect race or 2) hope for a wreck out front that you can avoid (to the inside seems the only possible route).

78.56.234.221 Reply:
it's easy to slow the bot's in 5.4 with unserviced car repeating race untill you win (one race takes only 1:30 min, so half an hour trying and you done it). Afterwards 5.5 is easy doable with unserviced car (starting last 43th). And it should help with completing more difficult tasks in last two days and probably with next 3 cars.

Then for 5.5 I passed the 1st time (11th place), with keeping on the insides of curves, and slotting myself in the middle for a quick draft on the straights. Bots probably in a slow mode from 5.4.

So happy for now that gold wasn't needed, but some waiting on the service times.

Stage 06Edit

Tips about Federated Auto Parts 400 Stage 06:

Continue to follow methods to slow bots down

Vamsi P .Didnt imagine but managed to complete stage 6 in one service with camry. pretty straight forward. 1st is finish in 10 and i did it and cruised to end. 2nd is reduced grip but easily managed it. dont over brake and go as smoothly as possible into turns, thats it. 3rd get to top 3, just pause-retire-confirm-retry few times and then will be comfortably in third pos. 4th is overheating and should be in top 30 at start go full throttle to get into safer 25 or so spot dont see heat index then cool of a bit and in straight go full throttle and cool in turns like that can finish it. in 5th dont collide and a bit of kissing other cars will not count as collision i almost banged a car, but it didnt count as collision and finished it. final event no service at all and tried it and was in second place in first attempt just 2 secs behind at 2:39 to 2:37 of johnson then paused second time and retired to find johnson at 3:19 just one retire and 50 secs off and then comfortably finished it. hint dont mix up in pile of cars and dont overbrake to skid and if something is tough just retire and retry.

Event 6.1: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway (Evening) [3 laps]|Finish in the top 10

Event 6.2: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway (Evening) [2 laps] - Finish in the top 10 (with reduced grip)

6.3 is worse than 5.4. Car is at 54.7PR and I can't come better than 15th. After 1.5 hours I have decided to quit this challenge. It is by far the worst challenge yet. If I had 6 hours per stage to waste, maybe I wouldn't be so pissed off. How many hours are you willing to waste on each stage?

6.3 - I made it by being online and having the event start, retiring within a few seconds, and "retry"ing 10 times. The cars were significantly slowe. Got 4th/5th the first time, restored the old game, did the same thing (start, retire quickly, retry 10+ times) and made 2nd. Without doing that could only get in that same 13-15 range.

Event 6.4: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway (Night) [5 laps]|Stay in the top 30 (with overheating issues)

Lancia Stratos wrote:
6.4 is definitely a case for Tilt B. Coast through the main bends and put the gas on in-between, that keeps the temperature stable. Then, if you need to you can go full out on the last lap.

Event 6.4: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway (Night) [5 laps]|Finish in the top 10 without colliding

Stage 6.1 to 6.6, I have spent hours trying to win each stage and then I decided something different. As soon as the race began I turned around and drove in opposite direction and aimed for oncoming cars. The carnage of wrecked vehicles reached a point where at one stage I did not have a single car racing. I then turned around and picked my way through the wrecked vehicles and guess what. I finished stage 6.3 on 1st position where previously my best was 15. Try it. I did 6.4 first go as well finishing 6th. 6.5 is no collisions so this strategy does not work but great for the rest.

Continue to follow methods to slow bots down

Vamsi P. finished 7th stage and had to skip 3rd event. had tried many times and in last lap fuel comes to zero. Except that all other events I did in first attempt. Took stewart team next. But am having second thoughts about going for all 4 cars. this update i didnt like it. richmond is boring. But would like to have chevy since it is champ. So any suggestions about 3rd stage would be welcomed. Keep cool and dont get mixed up in bunch of cars and dont skid much and u will win. Abut 3rd stage someone else has to explain.

It's an easy one. Believe me, hire the auto manager because ten laps are about 10 km, and the car may be broken for the final 20-lapper

After three attempts at shake off Stewart just to have him overtake me. I changed tactics and went for speed. Once I got 40yds between him and me he was not able to draft. (Slowed at the finish line - of course.)

Event 7.3: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway(Night) [5 laps] - Using manual acceleration and without brake assist, maintain your fuel and lead at the end of lap 325

Vamsi P asked.
Hey, did anyone finish this today.Last time i had to skip so now what. did they change anything? How many units fuel is given. did they fix it or not?

RR3 Michael P reply
I have, it's easy now, see my report below.

@Vamsi P Hey i did it now its easy all i did was went with tilt B and went with accelerate and leave then again accelerate like that i cruised to victory

Event 7.4: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway(Night) [6 laps] - Lead at the end of lap 350

It is very easy to get ahead (in 2-3 laps already), but beware the huge pile-up after catching up with the back of the pack... if you get stuck there, the 2nd bot will pass you...

Event 7.5: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway(Night) [5 laps] - Finish in the top 2

Event 7.6: NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway(Night) [20 laps] - Win the race

Okay... I love a straight head-to-head fight (sometimes slowing the bots a little) ...but turning around and wrecking the rest of cars before winning this race is just BRILLIANT! It's a combination of massive demolition derby, full-speed straight-on aiming and pile-ups to enjoy in the replay, followed by an obstacle-run (trying to go full speed avoiding "dead" cars everywhere and even some haunted "ghost" cars flying around randomly causing even more havoc... FANTASTIC!!

I just realized no one filled out the information for Stage 07. The last goal has 20 laps, I kept retiring races until the 1st place time was 9 mins+, a damaged car should be able to finish each lap in 21 seconds, I was able to lap the second car before finishing.

Final 20 lap mission doable with totally wrecked car and no gold upgrades. How ? At start turn the car around and drive the wrong way. Keep hitting/wrecking all cars that still move (in the right direction). When no car seems to be driving ok (some will still be going backward or in circles), turn around and race in the right direction until the end. I won in 19 minutes :)

Just finished day 7!! Slowing down the bots from the very beginning, and keeping them slow as much as you can on nearly every race, makes the entire 7 day event a breeze! For this first run through I chose the Chevrolet SS (Stewart-Haas Racing). Upgrades to listed Max PR W/R$ (50.2). For all of the Richmond and Indianapolis races, and a couple at Suzuka, I ran with SA-low/TC-on/Br-off, I saw a noticeable improvement in speed and overall freedom to use whatever areas of track that I wanted. I Only had to repair my car twice, to complete 2.2 and 7.2 (the repair at 7.2 makes the final day butter!) as long as you keep the bots slow the rest can be done with a deteriorating or fully broken vehicle. Problematic events for me were 3.3, 3.4, 4.4, 4.5, But there was nothing that took more than 10 or so attempts. The real key to this event is heavy bot control from the very beginning!

I found it interesting that when starting the campaign for the second time, FM chose NOT to unlock all of the days at the beginning and give a shorter window of time for completion (as they do normally), but rather, are making us go through 7 days again! Unlocking day-by-day!

Good luck everyone! And don't get discouraged! If an event is giving you trouble, just put it down and come back to it in an hour. Usually the problem resolves itself when we approach it with a clear mind.
