To commemorate Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday, Lamborghini released a limited-edition supercar based on the Aventador at the March 2016 Geneva Motor Show. 40 cars (20 coupes and 20 roadsters) were produced, all of which have been sold. Contrary to the rest of Lamborghini's lineup, the Centenario LP 770-4's design was rumored to be "not as extreme" compared to other wedge-shaped supercars. Power comes from a tuned version of the Aventador's 6.5-litre V12 producing 759 hp (770 PS), a hybrid powertrain is possible. The car, which costs just under €2,200,000, was unveiled at the March 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
