RR3 Wiki:Tips and FAQ for No Compromise

The intention of this page is to keep tips and FAQ for No Compromise (v6.2.0) in one place, which will hopefully help people race this event.

Description[]

No Compromise is an event in Real Racing 3. It gives the players a chance to win the FERRARI FXX K. After version 4.4.1 was updated. No Compromise starts June 27.[1]

The FERRARI FXX K has been added to the Italian Prime bonus series in the Legend group.

The event comprises a wide range of cars, the player drives the FERRARI FXX K throughout.

Tips and FAQ History[]

This is the fourth iteration of a tips and FAQ page:

Each time the tips have improved. Unfortunately due to the way forum posts and blogs work, only the originator RR3 Michael P or Guillejarque can edit the first entry. With Tips and FAQ for No Compromise (v6.2.0) anyone can edit this page, hopefully this will lead to many more editors adding useful content for everyone’s benefit.

General Tips[]

Strategy[]

Real Racing 3 is a massive game designed by FireMonkeys (FM) to make you want to spend real money on R$ and Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted. Many in this Wikia community have posted comments what they have managed to reach the end of the game without spending any real money. The bottle neck currency is Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted. Methods to slow bots down[]

Track Recommended method to slow bots Damage Taken
Autocross Each time you run an Autocross event, set a slow time of of 4th or less, either retry or continue and re-enter. If you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race, you will notice, after each time of running, the target time is increased. If continuing doesn't increase the bot's time try repeating and vice a versa.

Do not set a low time at the line, tilt B will give better control to coast before the line, if you are too quick or brake and wait at the line, smashing the time will increase the AI.
Minimal
Cup
& NASCAR
As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter, if you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race. Also ignore the bots times on the final screen too, they are based on an average lap time, as you quit their times are based on a standing start, as an average. Instead use the times as a guide, with each retry or continue the bots times should increase. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's time try repeating and vice a versa.

OR If you have a broken car run the race a few times, each time you lose you will still get R$ and Fame, place 4th or less, repeating or continuing and re-entering will lower the bot's.

Once ready to go, get to 1st place as quickly as possible and try to slow the bot's down, either spin them out or park in sharp bends / chicanes and stop them passing. By setting a low time, but still coming first, it's still possible to still lower the AI of bots, think about a Time Trial time, if you set a set a slow time it lowers the AI.

Minimal /None.
Drag Race Start the race, press go and leave the car is first gear, do not click repeat, as this will repeat the current race, against the same bot, instead choose continue, then either retry or continue and re-enter. You will see the opponents will change to lower ones.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a fast time, instead use the gears to slow the car, once passed the bot go up through the gears, but watch the bot doesn't speed up / close the gap, or if close to the line go down a gear to brake.
Minimal
Elimination Elimination events are one of the best opportunities to lower the bots AI, deliberately lose a few times, do not move at the start (Tilt B), wait for the 20 second timer to run out, then repeat or continue and re-enter. You will see the opponent will change to lower ones. If you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race.

Once ready to go, get to first place and slow the bots as per the cup event.
None
Endurance Endurance events are one of the best opportunities to lower the bots AI deliberately lose a few times, change the controls to Tilt B, when the lights go green do not move, wait for the timer to count down the 60 seconds. Either retry or continue and re-enter. If you retry ignore the bot's names, that splash up before the race, they will be changed at the end of the race. Note the distance is reducing each time. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's distance try repeating and vice a versa. It's possible to get all 7 bots distance to 1.0 mi.

Another point, the online and offline bots can wildly vary on Endurance races, especially with fiends distance'. It's normally much better to race Endurance races offline, before going to the Endurance event go offline (aeroplane mode), if you've already started an Endurance race online, exit back to the main menu, if your logged into FB / G+ / Weibo, goto settings and logout, then force close, go offline and relaunch RR3, bots should now be offline ones.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a good distance, instead once passed the 1st marker, park up (tilt B) and wait for the timer to count down.
None
Head To Head As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter. Repeat multiple times, ignore the bot's time on the final screen, it is based on an average lap time, you can use it as a guide that the bot's time is reducing.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a good time, instead once in 1st place, use the same technique as cup events, slow the bot down. Quite often a single bot will not push you once stopped, so you can easily hold it up for 20 seconds, then go for it. Wait at the line to reduced the time set, but still win.
1 lap of damage /None
Hunter As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter, repeat multiple times, each time you repeat the distance to the 1st place will increase.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a good distance, instead once passed the 1st place marker, slow down and maintain a small distance advantage ahead, when near the line slow to reduce the distance, but still win. It's also possible to spin out the NISSAN SILVIA (S15) to reach 1st, but be careful not to set a top distance. Final point, the NISSAN SILVIA (S15) can be on a different section as track from you, e.g. If 1st place marker is 1,000 yds behind. The NISSAN SILVIA (S15) could be going flat out down a straight while you’re in a hairpin or chicane, so the 1st place marker is going 1,000 yds behind the NISSAN SILVIA (S15), but travels at the same speed so doesn't slow for the chicane! The worst tracks have chicanes before the finish line, like Spa or Le Mans, learn from any losses, track knowledge will help in future events, sometimes waiting by the line is better, but be aware your stopped and 1st place marker could be going 120 MPH.
1 lap of damage /None
Time Trial Set a slow time, in a Series this event's cup does not count towards continuing your race career (i.e. it does not unlock the next Series). However it does count towards completing 100% of the Series.

Running a time trial with a broken car will therefore take no damage and lower the AI of bots.

Note: If you play against friends do not be tempted to upgrade your car and set faster times, as this will increase the AI of bots, you could always do this once you've bought all cars :)
1 lap of damage /None
Speed Record As soon as the race starts, pause, retire, confirm, either retry or continue and re-enter. Note the bot's time is reducing. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's speed try repeating and vice a versa.

Once ready to go, don't undo the lowing work by setting a high top speed, brake as soon as you hit 1st place's speed.

If your still struggling to reach first place, the start finish straight is normally the longest straight, you can do a U turn and drive the wrong way around the track, so once around the last turn, do another U turn, and blast down the straight, with all assists off, it doesn't matter if you fly off track at turn one. If the start/finish straight isn't the longest you can still use the no assists method to hit the top speed, again it doesn't matter if you fly off track. However once you reach 1st place brake, so you don't increase the AI of bots. In special events challenges there is quite often a no off track clause to stop this technique, forcing you to upgrade to hit the required speed.
Minimal /None
Speed Snap Speed Snaps are the same "parts of tracks" as Autocross, except you must hit a top speed at the line so set a top speed of 4th or less, the lower the better, then either retry or continue and re-enter. Note the top speed's are reducing each time. If continuing doesn't lower the bot's speed try repeating and vice a versa.

Once ready to go, do not set a high top speed at the line, tilt B will give better control to feather the throttle once at the 1st place' speed, this takes a bit of practice, smashing the top speed will increase the AI.

Start / End Strategy[]

The player has 8 days to complete the 8 stages, the event is 8 days x 24 hours. The first stage will start the time the player starts it, the last stage will end 8 x 24 hours later. As stage 01 is normally straight forward and can be completed without an upgrade or service, it can be started late in the day, it doesn't matter if stage 01 isn't completed the first day, it can continue the following day. The next stage 02, will unlock at midnight providing stage 01 is completed, stage 03 will unlock at midnight the following day, and so on up to stage 8, in total there will be 8 x 24 hours = 192 hours to complete all stages.

For example:

You need to choose the best time for you to start No Compromise (v6.2.0) event, or more importantly when is the best time for you to end the event!

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race tip):
I wouldn't recommend starting the event on the first day, 28-June, as many racers, who start as soon as the event opens, complain about bugs, which FM then fix! Instead leave the start a day or two and let other people do the bug testing. Also the tips and details can be filled in by the early adopters, so starting a day or two later gives a better heads up.

Ideally, for racers who are busy Monday to Friday and have the weekend free, the best day and time to start is as late as possible Saturday, as long as it's before midnight, meaning stage 8 of the event can be completed over two days, the following Saturday and Sunday. Keep an eye out for adverts to start, it looks like 4 July is the last entry date. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Cloud Save / Restore[]

See the Firemonkeys website for full details on cloud save:

Firemonkeys.com.au Cloud Save FAQ

Firemonkey wrote:
Real Racing 3 automatically uploads your save data to the Cloud Servers once every 12 Hours. This means that if you have lost your save data, you can easily restore your previous game progress (including your purchases) and also transfer this save data between devices using the Cloud Save feature.

During events you can use the Cloud Save and Restore feature to your advantage. Before you start every event, manually do a Cloud Save, if you lose do a cloud restore, this will save a long service after the longer, endurance, cup and NASCAR events.

Once you win do another cloud save before you continue the next event, see the FAQ on Firemonkey's website:

It is very important to wait for the screen to display last updated seconds (or minutes) ago. If you have a message stating backup failed, wait another minute, a wheel will turn in the bottom right corner, the message will show last updated seconds (or minutes) ago and Backup to Cloud button will be greyed out too.

If backup still failed, return to the login screen, log off, wait 10 seconds and log on once more, click continue, wait 30 seconds for the login to complete, then try to backup once more.

If you still have problems: log off, then turn aeroplane mode on, wait 10 seconds, turn aeroplane mode off, wait 30 seconds for the wifi to reconnect, login, click continue, wait 30 seconds for the login to complete, then try to backup once more.

The final thing to try, force close the RR3 app, then with the Wifi on, relaunch RR3, then try to backup once more. If this still doesn't work, the FM server is probably having problems, again.

You can also use this technique to save on spending with gold, for example if you want to spend 1 gold on the mechanic, if you win, the mechanic will be used and the car condition will be maintained, but if you don't come first the gold is lost and the car condition will be reduced, if you cloud restore the car will be returned to it previous state and the gold spend (or even free mechanic) returned.

Note: Before you cloud restore, it is important to login into the same Social Profiles you had previously connected to Real Racing, when cloud saving. Especially if multiple Social Profiles are used!

FAQ[]

Car Service[]

How can I service the car when I already finished the day?

If the final car service is missed, after the final event on the day, the soonest it can service is at midnight (local time), when the next stage opens.

The Target is too High, How do I Reduce it?[]

When the speed or time or distance is too high or fast or long, there are several things that can be done to reduce the target

Make sure you cloud save before you start and after a handful of failed attempts try a cloud restore and retry the next method. Sometimes the AI is still reduced after the restore.

  • Try offline - if you've been online, you must do a force close too.
  • Try online - sometimes the AI target is different.
  • Try repeat, repeat , repeat, again lose by a big margin, don't come higher than 4th.
  • Try losing by a big margin, but don't retry, instead complete and then re-enter the race - this takes more time but works.

Sorry this takes so much time, but the AI will reduce. With a cloud restore it's quicker than a long service!

For example, I tried 11 times to reach 1st place:

Attempt Bot Target MPH Bot Name My Actual MPH Finished R$ Fame
1 196 merrygold 189 7th 750 140

The Game / Le Mans Keeps crashing[]

RR3 Michael P wrote:
If you are having problems loading Le-Mans: Le Mans is the biggest data track to load, close the game, go off line (aeroplane mode), try a complete shutdown (hold the power for 10 seconds, I think), then start back up, launch the game and turn the Heads-up Display (HUD) off. This helps on my Hudl.

I read a post suggesting using the RR3 Graphics app (AKA RR3 GFX) available from the Google Play Store, (then automatically updating it from their website). The poster advised Le Mans used to crash, but when the graphics is set low, using this app, it loads and plays fine:

When is the last time I can start this Event?[]

The countdown to start this challenge started as soon as it opened, 8 days from June 27, puts it around July 4. The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.

Keep an eye out for adverts to start the event and watch for a countdown to start. Once started the event can be run, even if it's closed to new racers.

Will this event be added to the race career?[]

FM went though a spell of adding special events to the racing career, the last time a special event was added was September 2015 v3.6, NASCAR Academy was added directly to the NASCAR career, without previously being released as a Time Limited Event (TLE). Previous to that was April 2015 v3.3, with Redline: Origins and MotorFiesta 1. It is therefore unlikely this event will be added to the racing career.

Will the car be available to win in the future?[]

The FERRARI FXX K is available to win if the challenge is completed in 8 days, after July 6 the FERRARI FXX K can be purchased from Italian Prime.

Can I buy the car?[]

The FERRARI FXX K is available in the Italian Prime bonus series part of the Legend group. This vehicle was added in the Lotus Update (v4.4.1) released in June 2016 and can be unlocked by earning 24 trophies in Italian Prime or by completing the No Compromise (v6.2.0) special event.

This vehicle can be acquired for 950 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted or 760 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted with showcase discount. It can sometimes be bought for ?? Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted as a 'Get it Now' price, unlocking Italian Prime.

Quote Natalia
If you start to play the event, all upgrades, customizations and VIP will remain on the car permanently, whether you acquire it from this event or buy it later.

What is the minimum PR / upgrades required[]

RR3 Michael P wrote (pre-race):
Since Generations, if the players car is far below the recommended PR level the bots run impossible times. Once the car is upgraded the bots return to normal times. Slowing the bots works, only when the PR requirements are close. Some goals have fixed top bots. Possible upgrade strategies:

Well, just finished it. Final PR 91.7 (3323244). Had to skip 8.5; maybe if I tried it a little more... OK, who am I kidding? 8.5 was just impossible to me. 40 GC was much cheaper than using several updates and several hours of gaming.

Now is time to start save for the next cars...

I like to have a good handling. Would upgrade also suspension, if I had the gold.

By the way, I see people having trouble to pass 7.3, 7.5... I passed it with little trouble.

It has to be with the way I drive, too...

Good luck to everyone.

On 4.4, it's not too clear in the description, but you can tailgate any opponent for a TOTAL of 90 seconds. It does not have to be the same opponent and it does not have to be in 1 continuous action either. It's an additive figure.

I learned this fairly quickly on my 1st attempt, but I wasted a bit of time sitting at the back of the pack building up time not realizing that I could make my way through the pack and still rack up time. Plus, I was attempting to race with a car that needed servicing (slightly, only down 4 mph). But, that was enough to keep me from winning. Though I was only back about 200yds from 1st at the finish (finished in 3rd).

On my 2nd attempt, with a fully serviced car, I had no trouble. I just made my way to the front, tailgated 1st place for the remainder of my time and then pitted him and slowed to allow Zoe to catch up and pitted her too. Continued this game to the finish.

  • 4.1 1st 2:30 v 2:30 Petrovic, 2 lap cup at Suzuka West. tailgate for 45 seconds. I am well over the recommended PR, so easily reached Smith in the second turn, then tailgated him, I didn’t need to be continuous and unlike NASCAR drafting, a tailgate works in corners and under braking, I managed the 45 seconds on lap 1, then PIT Smith and held up the other bots. Recommended PR 84.6, used 11 bar of damage
  • 4.2 1st v Demopoulos, trailgate any opponent within 22 yd (20 m) for 25 continuous seconds and win. I tailgated the 3rd place car and reached 25 continuous 1/2 the way around the lap, this gave a big gap to 2nd and 1st, I caught them on lap 2 and passed them, then held up, to not use as much damage (based on distance). Elimination at Suzuka West - tailgate any opponent within 22 yd (20 m), recommended PR 85.1, used 8 bar of damage, 5 remaining.

Attempt 2: 1st 5:58.6 v 5:58.9 Demopoulos, much easier the 2nd run, I was running 2nd after the Esses, then tailgated Romano for 90 seconds, PIT him and held up the bots for 2 laps, recommended PR 85.7, used 24 bar of damage, 0 remaining, serviced.

RR3'tyoloo Report:
Stage 4 completed with R$ upgrades only @PR 84.6, slightly under recommended PR.

4.1 Tailgate 1st place within 22 yd (20 m) for 45 seconds, then win

The timer is accumulative, it does not reset when you fall behind more than 20m or overtook the first bot. Timer continues running when you get within 20m till you reach 45 seconds, then overtake first place. As usual, win by a small margin.

4.2 Tailgate anyone within 22 yd (20m) for 25 seconds and win

Similar to 4.1, the plan is to tailgate the first bot as you don't want to get eliminated early. However, the timer resets when you fall behind 20m or overtook the first bot before reaching 25 seconds.

4.3 Autocross

Quite an easy one, not sure if it was a fixed time goal. Still had a few seconds before crossing the finish line. As usual, brake to win by a small margin.

Zoe's time - 37.840

4.4 Tailgate anyone within 22 yd (20 m) for 90 seconds and then win the race by no more than 55 yd (50m)

The car is slightly damaged and i ran off track a couple of times, finished 2nd on my first try and needs a service.

The timer starts as soon as the race begins even while overtaking the slower bots, i reached at least 60 seconds when i got to 2nd place. Timer is accumulative like 4.1 and does not reset. Once i reached 90 seconds on the 2nd lap, i stayed in 2nd place till the last lap. Got to 1st place and maintain close distance with 2nd. Brake slightly before finishing line to ensure 1st bot catches up, eventually winning by +15m.

Conversion fault from FM, I expect. I believe they work in MPH and convert the values for KPH users. They round the value in the description but not the actual target so you actually need closer to 196.5 kph

  • 6.2 Autocross, win without going off-track, and with no race information (no timer), Daytona Motorcycle
Attempt 1: 4th 0:46 v 0:44 Santos, I ran with brakes high to see if I could :) I had a stopwatch on my phone to check the time, as there is no race information, used 3 bar of damage
Attempt 2: DNF, I slid wide. Cloud restored.
Attempt 3: 3rd 0:44.6 v 0.44.5 Martinez, I braked a little too much approaching the line. Cloud restored.
Attempt 4: 1st 0:42.5 v 0:44.1 Santos, didn’t brake as much this time. recommended PR 88.5, used 2 bar of damage
  • 6.3 1st 2:11 v (no time) Santos. Win this event with 26 overtakes and lap at least 1 opponent (Rolling start)! Daytona - Speedway Cup 4 laps, starting 26th. Instant green flag once the goals are reached. I tried to PIT the last car and ended up in the wall myself, I carried on and ended up tangling with another bot and went off to the inside, I thought I had no chance now, but carried on and topped out at 232 mph, no braking at all required. I passed the 26th bot and the back-marker at the same time, and had an instant green flag, recommended PR 88.8, used 10 bar of damage, 0 remaining, serviced.
  • 6.4 1st 162.73 mph v 156.6 mph Santos, Speed Snap @ Daytona - Motorcycle, Win within 16 seconds (with increased acceleration and grip), I did brake a little before the line, I think I had 1 second left, so could have braked earlier, recommended PR 89.4, used 1 bar of damage

Montoym report:
Finished Stage 6 pretty uneventfully. I had to do it in 2 steps though. I was able to get through 6.1 and 6.2 last night before I went to bed, but then I needed to service my car as I forgot to service after Stage 4.

This afternoon, I went ahead and completed 6.3-6.5. I used my free mechanic for 6.3 and finished 6.4 and 6.5 easily without needing to service until after 6.5.

Here's my quick breakdown of the races in this stage.

Car stats, PR 90.6 19/28

6.1 - Endurance, no problem. I had a goal of 6.5 mi, once passing 6.5, I sat against a wall and waited for the time to run out.

6.2 - Autocross, no race info. Funny how FM uses races like this to keep down the bot management strategies. I just counted in my head. As I got near the end, my head math was saying I was getting close and I was still a little bit away. I sped up and ended up finishing with 0.5sec to spare!

6.3 - 4 Lap Cup event, must overtake 26 cars (in a field of 22), and must lap at least 1 opponent. I passed the field and continued on, on the 3rd lap, I started passing opponents. Once I got to 26 overtakes, the race ended right then. Happened early on in the 4th lap. No problem.

6.4 - Speed Snap, with a 16sec time limit. Another event made to keep the players honest. No time to back up and get more space for this, you just need to race it and see what you get. I actually clipped the wall on one turn, but it didn't slow me enough to keep me from winning on my first attempt. I even slowed a little before the finish to keep from wining by too much. Finished with 160.xx against 156.xx.

6.5 - 3 lap "Cup" on the Daytona Motorcycle Course against a single opponent. Race ends once you overtake the 488 GTE. I caught up to the 488 GTE pretty easily, maybe 1/3 through the 1st lap. Instead of passing right away, I figured I'd sit back and wait to pass until the last lap. My thought is that maybe the AI calculation includes some info on how quickly you pass the opponent on events like this. However, being a tougher course (for me anyhow), I turned the brake assist to high to keep me from going off-track. The 488 GTE would pull ahead in the infield part of the course, but once on the banks of the oval, the top speed of the FXX K allowed me to catch up. So I was pretty comfortable with this setup. On the last lap, I turned the brake assist back to low right before entering the banked corners and I was right behind the 488 GTE entering the chicane. Once back onto the banks, I caught up to and passed the 488 GTE easily and the race ended then.

Stage 6 was not much trouble, though I'm sure my upgrades helped this since I was above the recommended PR for much of this Stage thanks to my additional R$ upgrades that completed overnight. I'm still expecting the recommended PR to get to about 94 by the end, with 2 stages left and the recommended PR sitting at 89.7 right now, we're well on track for that. The daily increase (end of stage to end of stage) has been hovering near 2 for the entire event so far. If that keeps up, we'll be pretty close to PR 94 by the end of Stage 8. In any case, I'm hoping my current upgrades can pull me through, not planning to spend more than I have currently on this car.

Completed Stage 7, here's my rundown with a few tips I picked up along the way.

Car - PR 90.6, 19/28 upgrades 3323233

Assists - Tilt A, Steering Low, Brakes Low, TC On, unless otherwise specified

R$849,361 106GC

7.1 – 2 lap Cup at Hockenheim, win without being overtaken - Took me maybe 3 attempts, I managed to make a few bad passes and had the bot overtake me and I’d fail. 3rd attempt, made it through without much issue, was able to take the lead early in the 2nd lap. Slowed at the finish and won by 11yds.

7.2 – 1 Lap Head to Head against Zoe at Hockenheimring Short, must win and finish within 52sec, no off-track - Won 1st attempt, I pitted Zoe first chance I got, right after the 1st corner. With her out of the way, I focused on a clean, fast lap and I finished at 51.326s. Onward to 7.3!

7.3 – 3 lap Cup at Hockenheimring, don’t get overtaken and win with at least 30sec off-track. I did pay for the mechanic since I'd require servicing after otherwise. This one is tough, no doubt about it. On my first attempt, I thought I'd try to get up to 1st as quick as I could, PIT Zoe and then hope I could pick up enough time by the end. Tried that a few times and realized that was no good, the other bots were still too quick to make this effective. I had a tough time even getting 10-15sec total this way. I needed a new tactic.

I decided to watch Real Racing Guru's video on Youtube (I never do this) and I liked his idea about going off-track right away for a while and using the grass to slow down before corners. You can keep pace with the back runners pretty easily this way and choose when you want to start passing them and making a run for it. There are several corners where you can go off-track before the corners (if you're far enough ahead of the bot behind you) and pick up a few seconds each time. I also turned TC Off to help keep up the momentum while off-track. However, this did come to bite me a handful of times when I'd spin out on a corner and get passed, or I'd slam into an opponent coming into a corner and would spin out as well. I eventually remembered to turn TC back on once I was in about 4th or 5th place just to give me a little more peace of mind.

Using this method, I immediately saw progress, but it still took me a handful of attempts before I finally made it through. The first finish I logged with this method (others were ended by a bot passing me), I finished less than 1sec behind Zoe. On this attempt, I had racked up 21.4sec by the end of the 1st lap and was in 8th place. At the end of the 2nd lap, I was in 4th place with 29.9sec racked up. So, I knew I was close, but maybe I'd shoot for less time on my 1st lap to allow me to catch Zoe easier.

So, on my winning attempt, I was in 7th place at the end of the 1st lap with 19.8sec off-track. End of the 2nd lap I was in 4th place with 26.4sec off-track. I finished ahead of Zoe by 7yds and easily picked up the final 3.6sec I needed along the way. My time was 4:10.996 with Zoe at 4:11.205.

7.4 - Speed record at Hockenheim. Target 177.8 mph, no skidding allowed. For each attempt, I ran with Brakes low, TC on until I got to the straightest part where you can pick up the speed and then I turned brake assist off to keep it from intervening when I was close to the record. Completed on I think my 4th attempt. 1st 3 I failed due to skidding each time. Also got close to the record, but got nervous and hit brakes too early. Achieved 180.5ph to the target at 177.89 mph.

7.5 – Elimination at Hockenheimring, need to stay 1 place away from elimination each time and then win. Won on 1st attempt without too much issue. Passing Zoe at the end was a little tough, I didn’t get in front of her until there were just a few seconds left. Even then, she was right on my tail and ended up passing me, but not before she was already eliminated.

Car serviced and ready for Stage 8!! Stage 8 is at Daytona. Sounds like we’ll get another Elimination event which will have a PR floor I’m guessing, we’ve seen a few of those lately.

was able to do 377.XX kph many times (the others are DNF because I quit after driving through the sharp turn badly) but all of them below 377.35 kph, which is Zoe's score.

all of them except that one trial run, and the one I just did - which is 377.42 kph. don't have screenshot of my "trial run" score, but I remember it being a 377.6X kph.

my strategy is to go as wide as possible on the sharp turn to get (1) the most run off and (2) the maximum exit speed - you can drive right up to the yellow strips on the right side as you exit the turn with your left wheels (with right wheels on concrete that is considered off-track).

on the wide turn - drive as close to the wall as you can without hitting it.

right before the end of the wide turn, make a little bit of room between your car and the outside wall (drive somewhere in the middle of the road), then go back as close to the wall as you can again (don't turn into the wall obviously, just keep the car straight) right as you exit the turn to maximize the slight boost you can get from that "downhill" road.

Goal 8.4: Cup at Daytona International Speedway – Road Course [3 laps] Place at least 10th in this event (Rolling Start and Brake Assist off) - Recommended PR93.4

RR3 Michael P wrote:
Starting 42nd, 1st is hard to get, but can be done (see report below), probably better to stick with 10th and slow the bots.

Goal 8.5: Cup at Daytona International Speedway – Road Course [4 laps] - Win the final race without skidding more than 3 times and no off-track (Rolling Start and Brake Assist off) - Recommended PR93.8

RR3 Michael P wrote:
This was a real pain, with no off track, there is little room for error, also coming though 22 bots, and then back-markers on the last lap, don't cut corners! It is important to get a good start, I tried going up the inside of turn 1, then outside in the kink, inside the next hairpin, the bots brake for the 90 degree left, so keep wide and drive around them, the hairpin onto the banking was practised in 8.3. There are ads on the fence into the chicane, brake after they end. Into turn one use the road markings, I kept braking to early, probably the second to last dashed line is best. Good luck and have fun :)

Reymar C. wrote:
brake much later than the AIs on that first turn, weaving between the slow ones (should overtake at least 8 cars doing this? didn't really count), then move to the inside (left) as you approach the exit to overtake two more.

stay a good distance away from the two more ahead of you as they turn right then left so you can go full gas and pass them through the left side - use the ripple strips to prevent the off-track red banner from poping-up.

move to the inside (right) to pass two more. by this time, you should be on 8th position at best - ideally at least 10th.

stay on the right side (outside) to pass one or two AIs braking on the slight left turn - be careful not to go too fast and skid off-track.

make sure to get a good speed on the exit towards the speedway.

if you are in good position by this point (4th at best - ideally at least 6th place) then there should be no more traffic to worry about and it will just boil down to you driving around the track as quickly as possible to catch up and overtake Zoe.

Attempt 7: 1st 5:33 v 5:45 Zoé, best laps 1:19 v 1:22, finally a clean lap with no off track, I managed to pass Zoé on lap 2, and PIT her, I then took my time (relatively) 0 skids, used 24 bar of damage, 0 remaining, recommended PR 93.8
  • 8.6 1st 7.7seconds, Cup @ Daytona – Road 1 lap or do a donut, I turned steering assist off, crashed into the wall and was passed as a donut :P, used 0 bar of damage, 0 remaining, serviced.

Stage 8 is tough, took me about an hour to complete and didn't skip any goals. Car @PR 91.3, 3333233 20/28 upgrades. Tilt A, SS 5, low steering and TC on.

8.1 Autocross

Quite an easy one, took me 2 tries, 1st time skidded and failed. Time was 44.3 vs 47.7.

8.2 Only managed to tailgate 2nd for about 20 seconds, once we were on the straight, i was out of range and timer resets. Decided that winning the race was better, managed 3rd at the end of the 1st lap, on the last lap, I cut a corner at the chicane between the 2 straights to overtake Zoe.

8.3 Speed snap

Was expecting more upgrades to pass this but won it in 2 tries. Zoe's speed was 377.7 and i managed in 378.1.

8.4 I had a clean first lap overtaking the field and got to 15th at the end of 1st lap. The bots were not too fast and got to 8th at the end of 2nd lap. I skidded on the last lap and dropped to 10th and finished there, no harm done.

8.5 This goal is the toughest one, i must have retried more than 10 times. Went off-track more than 5 times and force closed when i couldn't win on the last lap. This track is quite tight and no off-track for 4 laps is quite a challenge considering you have to be fast as well.

Getting a good position on the 1st lap is paramount because you don't want the leaders too far ahead, catching them is not easy. On the 1st lap, try to minimize contact and race as cleanly as possible, slight contact on the bots in front to slow down in case you brake too late is ok as long as not too much damage is done, you need all the straight line speed you can get.

Successful attempt: I got to 5th place by the end of 1st lap and Zoe is still in sight on the bends. Continued running cleanly and overtaking bots through the corners, finished 2nd at the end of 3rd lap. Finally managed to overtake Zoe on the last lap and with 2 skids out of 3, I raced carefully to finished 1st.

8.6 Did a dount....

Benefit[]

Calculated benefits of the event:

RR3 Michael P calculations:

Date: 27 June 2016 4 July 2016 Difference
Curr.R.Dollars.New.80x80.Shifted 35,922,985 34,317,912 -1,605,073
Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted 2,634 1,818 -816
Cars 151 152 +1
Level 227 228 +1

I fully upgraded the FERRARI FXX K, as it needs PR96.0 for Italian Prime, with the 25% discount I 'saved' 353 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted, this was still the most expensive special event for me, the R$1.6m isn't a problem, the 816 Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted will soon run out at this rate. As this is my second account I will not be able to continue with it, special events have gone from cash and gold generating events to major drains.

I generated Curr.Gold.New.80x80.Shifted by levelling up (38), watching videos (~20/day), daily reward (30) and completing No Compromise (v6.2.0) (90) = ~298 max.

Footnotes[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 The way FM display the date isn't very clear, they use a rounding factor. The days and hours remaining, to start, is changing at mid day or on the half hour. The closing date and time displayed is a cautious closing date and time.

The best time to start is late in the day local time, as the next stage opens at midnight local time.

If the event is started 11PM July 2nd (local time), the event can be completed 8x24 hours later, 11PM July 10th. Allowing almost two full days to complete the last stage.
